Our mattress needs replacing and it's been a while since I've been in a futon store.

Where has good deals these days?

Thanks.

I bought a futon recently from Simply Futons on Queen St West. The price was half decent. Try giving them a shout. http://simplyfutons.freeservers.com/

there is a place on the west side of kennedy (TO) between elsmere and eglinton..i cant rememebr the name at all, its next to a wine store. they had a good selction but for the little bit more money a regular mattress is the way to go. (imo)

Thanks for the replies. I ended up getting one at the Queen St store. This is where I got my original one about 9yrs ago, but I thought it was gone. The guy in the store said that it did shut for a while until they bought it from the previous owners.

I'm actually looking for one too, which one did you get and what was the price?

I got the queen size lounger, with the plain wooden fram. It came to $320 or so including delivery. I got the 6" mattress which (as they told me) would be too thin for use every night. I bought a 2.5" memory foam topper from costco to go on top and its PERFECT.

I got an 8" double, just the mattress, for $155 + tax. I got it in white, if you wanted blue/black it's an extra $10. It's $135 for the 6" mattress.

They have a decent selection there, about 10/12 units on show. Nice people too.

Been looking around, there are 2 other futon stores in Toronto, both on Bloor Street, east of Bathurst. The prices aren't bad, both similiar. One's East West Futons and the other is The Futon store.
