Its just called "calling card"
its probably the best/most versatile way to call china.
you can get it at most convient stores that sell calling cards.

but the OP had already knows about calling cards (from the title)

Currently, I just use "Best Calling Card" from Spadina near Goldstone restaurant
Its $4.25 for 580 minutes... although its more like 290 minutes to me.
So about 1.5c per minute to China. I'm going to try out jajah.com, thanks Gigi
