I am going on the 14th. So scared :( I went last year with my cousin and the poor girl had to be my barrier and drag me through everything. I'm a big weenie. But I loved it!
For those of you who don't know what it is click here (http://www.screemers.ca)

I went to Sceamers 2 years ago ... it was DISGUSTING! Too many ppl passing through ... very UNSCARY! Try the one in Niagara Falls ... that was much more scarier than the one in T.O.

I love the one in Niagara Falls on Clifton Hill. Also try Nightmares. Both really scary and you have so much fun.

went last year with my friends
truthfully, if you take it really seriously, it's not scary at all, but as with anything, it's only as good as you make it
my friends and I had a GREAT time, cuz we were just pretending to be scared, screaming, and so on. yes, we were all 19, and it sounds lame, but we all had a great time, definitely going to try and convince them to go again, or if not i'll get my gf to go with me this time

I went a 2-3 years back with my School...that place is packed!!!!
Way too many people their (a lot of "thugs"). While i was their i saw a least 3 fights, people getting kicked out etc.
Its not scary at all, they let far too many people in a once. I went to the one in Niagara Falls and found it much more scary, but maybe its because i was much more younger when i went

I went there a couple years ago and was not impressed by the amount of thug kids in there who have no idea what the concept of lines are. You would see numerous groups of thugs cut in line ahead of others all night long. Not the most comfortable experience.
Another option is FearFest at Paramount Canada's Wonderland.

Park open Friday, Saturday and Sunday Nights 7pm to Midnight, October 6 to 29.
They have numerous mazes and haunts, and still have most of the rides up and running without lights and so on. I would highly suggest FearFest over Screemers.

i heard that fearfest is quite boring, there's about 2 mazes and a few rides... i haven't been there nor have i been to screemers although i'd like to check those places out.. i think that it really depends on who you go with, if you go with a chilling crowd then you're likely to have a better experience than if you go with a bunch of boring people

Pretty much every coaster was running at Fearfest last year although I didn't see the Bat running but my friends all say near the end they saw it going. The walk through haunted houses and mazes they had set up were pretty lame though but at least they try. I just liked the fact that they had the park decked out with a halloween theme complete with fog machines.
I used to go to Screemers yearly. I'd have to say I enjoyed it more as a kid than I do now. It just seems like they slapped it together overnight now. It was way better when it was in the other building on the west side of the grounds (Horticulture Building?). I'm not so big on 14 year olds with masks jumping out and screaming at me.
If you can make it out to the Haunted Adventures, I highly recommend that place:

The Hayride and the Haunted trail walk were probably the best attractions there. The haunted barn wasn't too bad either.

So it's only worth while if you suspend your disbelief like how you do when watching a horror movie?
I don't see the attraction of these fairs unelss you are going with a lovely girl you want holding on tight to you :D

if you want to put it that way, anything and everything is lame, you're one of those people that i wouldn't want to go with
with many things, such as games, plays, and especially haunted house, it's a lot more fun if you try to be a part of it
anyhow, not going to bother try to persaue anyone, just, in my opinion, if you're so unconfident about your masculinity that you're afraid to stop acting macho for an hour or two, then any haunted house will be boring for you, just my 2 cents.
Yes Emancipated, MY 2 cents

Yeah, I'm a stick in the mud. These things usually don't appeal to me. I do play online games which are more enjoyable when you immerse yourself. I'll go on a roller coaster ride thinking at any moment you can fly right off the thing and die a horrible death, but not so much now since stories of people have been falling off them.
Yup... stick in the mud, I am.

fearfest was amazing... there were SEVEN haunted houses and mazes, and almost all of the rides are open (all of the good ones are)
also the haunted houses are very well done... much better than at the smaller ones... they have hundreds of people working there dressed up as ghosts/goblins/etc, and a ton of props. was a great time.

that testimony was good enough for me, I'm going on saturday, maybe i'll show up wearing just an RFD thong, i'd blend in with the scary-ness

I'm going tonight regardless of the comments on how lame it is and so on... it should be a fun cause I'm goign w/ a bunch of my friends... hopefulyl i won't get lost on my way there since the DVP is closed... how sad, but yeah... its only as fun as the person makes it... i went to magic hill last year in stouffville and that was pretty lame, but it was fun because i was with my friends, so basically its not about how real it is or how scary... its about who you go w/... as logn as you go w/ people you enjoy, then you'll have a great time!
