For me, this is "neat" wiring :D hehe...

I took the baffle thing off for the CPU... I didn't think it was worth the impediment to future work inside the case given the paltry specifications of the system...

So what do you guys think? I strive to be neater... suggestions appreciated.

INTEL 965SS MB
INTEL Pentium D 805
2X CORSAIR 533Mhz DDR2 265MB (512MB total- dont laugh)
80GB WD Caviar SATA
Lite-On DVD/RW
Integrated A/V

As you can see its an extremely low end system mainly for surfin' and word processing... Its not for me... I wouldn't do that to myself :D

I basically stuffed most of the unused wiring in the front 5" bays under the optical drive...

I only have two power leads coming down, one 3 block lead for the optical drive, the led's on the front, and the rear case fan, and one SATA style lead to power the HDD...

The bottom grey leads are FPaudio (left) and FPUSB(x2) (right)

I like that all the cabling and everything is secured down with nylon ties, so there's no "rattling" noise when you move the tower around... And nothing can get caught in the fans etc..

lol...

you should also flip your drives around so that the connectors are up against the other side of the case. this way its not visible and you can tuck the excess wire away.

screw rounded ide cables. heres a trick i used to use. take the motherboard off the mountings. tuck the ribbon cable behind the mobo then reattach it. then you can only see it plugged into the mobo and into the ide drives. looks good thow.

Exactly...cable-gami with the flat cable under the mobo for the last step.

also try tucking your fan cables and all the power cables you can fit behind the mobo. the 4pin power cable you can tuck behind the board and have it pop out right between what looks like the usb slots and the network slot just below your fan. i dont know if theres any clearance above your psu but some cases ive used have around 1/4" of space which is great for tucking the huge bulk of power cables aswell. make sure you inspect all your power cables before tucking them behind your mobo. dont want any holes or you can fry the whole system.

pics like this really bring me back. i havnt been inside a pc for almost 2 years. im glad i got a laptop so im not obsessed with upgrading every week and tearing apart my computer because 1 cable doesnt look right to me. im a bit obsessive compulsive when it comes to towers. the less i can upgrade the better it is for my mental health.

Man you people are brutal! Give the guy some credit!

If I could do cable management in my PC builds HALF as well as him, I'd be happy.

Yeah. Good Job and I think people were just trying to help with their comments. I was just pointing out the existance of round cables. I haven't taken my own advice, right now there is a flat cable going to the sound blaster internal drive. I just try to organize it for airflow. :)

Is there any room between the power supply/motherboard tray and the right side panel? I hide tons of cables back there.

Thats a really good idea... Unfortunately the room there is super super negligable in this case :(

Make your own round cables! (http://www.ovelha.org/pasteler0/2006/09/03/howto-building-your-own-rounded-cable/)

I've got both kinds; store bought and homemade round cables. I've done a tidy job on the homemade ones, and they're actually slimmer than the pre-made ones.
