Ok, so I pulled the trigger on a refurb Ipod Nano black for $119 including shipping, But i really dont want to use Itunes (My fiancee has it and im not a fan) I googled but really wasnt finding what i wanted
Is there a Nano hack, or a "Drop and drag" non-itunes solution???
Thanks in advance for any help

You could try out Rockbox (http://www.rockbox.org). It changes the firmware. It looks completely different and you can skin it the way you want. Makes the iPod like any other mp3 player. Connect it to your computer and drag/drop music in Windows Explorer. It keeps the original firmware too so you can reboot back into it. You get multiple codec support too like ogg vorbis and FLAC.
Google for iPod hacks too. There are definitely a few options to not use iTunes with the iPod.

No Need for a hack buddy. I did the same thing as you and I'm def. not a fan of iTunes (esp. with the issues raised with iTunes 7).
I looked around for a couple days and the best program I could find that suits my needs (and i'm sure yours) would be Anapod Explorer
It completely imbedds itself into windows (context menus and all) and supports TRUE drag/drop functionality (even on the iPod).
give it a whirl. I'm sure you'll be happier than a pig in *hit, the same way i was.

I use MediaMonkey as a substititute for syncing the iPod as well as playing music on PC. :) Give that a try!

Use reTune for normal iPods, very small file (1.75 MB), no setup/installation, easy to use :)

I am using the iPod Shuffle Database Builder now since I don't have iPod Nano... :(

I use the mlpod plugin with Winamp, and the Sharepod app that runs from the iPod as an attached drive. You can find out about these and many more at ipodlounge.com

Ever read the forums? Non-stop bitching from people how ephpod screwed up their ipod.

WinAMP has native iPod support now.

Ephpod hasn't had an update since the last monochrome 4G ipod.
It's not going to support the 5G's that easily.

There are plenty of options. XPlay, Anapod, iPod Access, Yamipod, MediaMonkey, WMP11 ( I think), Winamp. I like iTunes.

Are there any solutions that can also handle both album art and lyrics?

A non-itunes solution? MediaMonkey does both. JRiver Media center probably does too (although that's a pretty bloated app too). You can always add art/lyrics with 3rd party taggers.
