I am removing a bug deflecter off of my car that was installed by the previous owner. It is held on with 4 spots of 1" x 3" two way tape, ounce I get the delecter off what would be the best way to remove the two way tape? I'm sure even if I get the two way tape off it will still leave a sticky gunk on the paint! Would nail polish remover be good or will that effect the paint?
Any help would be great!!

I used windex and paper towel on the glue left behind from a bumper sticker. It worked pretty well with a bit of elbow grease--just keep spraying the glue to keep it wet.
*edit* Nail polish remover seems way too harsh--I would be scared to try that on my paint.

I wouldn't use windex. the ammonia in windex will kill your finish. Lots of Warm water & soap should do the trick!!!!

You can use a plastic scraper, use a car polish or tar and bug remover and a little elbow grease to get it off.
There is also a product called "goof off" available at Canadian Tire or Wallmart etc. Use it and immediately wash it off and put on some wax. I have used it and it works well but remember it is a solvent and can take off the clear coat or paint.
