mp4 Players - Good or Bad

Hi All,

Looking at getting a mp4 player and wanted to get advice on quality and sound of all these 2gb mp4 players that everyone is selling for $100 everywhere. They look like the nano incase anyone is wondering what i am talking about.

Anyone buy any of these? any advice would be great.

Aren't a lot of them from Korea? A lot of problems could be helped with firmware updates, but don't hold your breath. Look around though, I think there are some users who are trying to mod firmware for a few of these machines to make them better.

2.5mm headphone jacks!!! so once your original headphones break, good luck finding a set of headphones that will fit them.

WOW..not one of the places mentioned that they don't use the regular headphones. I even said that I would like to bring in my headphones to test the sound and they said no problem.

They look like good deals but I guess you get what you pay for !!

Has anyone bought any of these and used one for a few weeks?

i've met some people that have them, they appear to work fine, but... 2.5mm headphones are needed. you can get the adapter, but it's about half the size of the player.

i bought it from ebay incase anyone wants to
2 weeks ago, 1gb was about 21$ USD shipped from china, shipping took like week but no more,

and about the earphone :) the seller suggested than i get 2 extra one's incase i broke one of them, both extra for 4$

its nice, best of all, buy 2 and get less shipping, i already sold 1 to some guy in our school got it for 21$ sold it for 80$

I saw those MP4s as prizes at the EX this year .... they looked like china ipod ripoffs.
