you can easily pick up a nortel application module for $100-$200 off ebay.. does a thousand mailboxes if i remember right, and basically the only limit is the gig hard drive in it.. they're considered obsolete, but they work.

just get a used CALL Pilot 100, you can pick one up thats compatible with a Kics system for cheap, just call up Ganeshan Subramaniam at TA Networks 1-866-226-2749, or speak with RAJ the inventory Manager. He will no doubtably tell you if its in stock. p.s. they install it for you too.

How would you interface a PC to a Compact ICS? The cards required to do it would cost more than the Call Pilot.

Paolo has the right idea. Get a Call Pilot. It is not hard drive based. It is uses flash RAM. If you are lucky, maybe you will get more than 10 mailboxes.

the NAM II comes with something like a thousand mailboxes.. it's a pentium computer, though earlier versions were a 486.
The call pilot is a nicer and more capable unit, but the licensing to add more mailboxes makes it expensive, and from the current ebay listings, it's quite a bit more expensive in the first place.

If you know you're going to stay under 10 mailboxes then the call pilot is probably just fine.
