RFD Cool Wall: Car #5 Aston Martin Rapide

Well thanks to everyone who voted last week, putting the RX-8 into the cool car category. As an update, here's the cool wall as it stands after 4 cars;

Now I had the pleasure of viewing this car twice last year, once at the Geneva Motor Show, and also this past May at the Aston Martin Owners Club Spring Concourse in the UK. Here are a couple of my own pics;

at first, i was gonna vote cool, but then i started to picture some guy pulling up the driveway at some sort of event, or even just at the supermarket, this guy would be labelled cool as hell

this car is not one of those cars that scream "I"M RICH!!! SO I"M COOL!!!" such as most ferrari's and lambo's, it's one of those cars that i think are conservativly cool, and for guys that don't really care if other's think he's cool or not

that, in my mind, is what being cool is all about, therefore, i give it a sub-zero

for me, the only slight problem is the 4 doors. Other astons (db9, v8 vantage, db7) are just fantastic, but there is something strange about having a 4 door car like this. In the same way that I don't think that maserati quatreporte is that great of a car, it just doesn't look that great with 4 doors.

It's sub-zero, but not as great as some of the other sub-zero cars

That's really loooong. Kinda looks similar to the Vanquish. I saw that car many times at RIM, since RIM CEO owns one.

I'd definitely give my left nut to have one of these, but I have to label it "cool car" in comparison to the Vantage/Vanquish/DB9. There's just something off about the 4 doors. But on the other hand look at that interior, I wouldn't mind riding in the back...

i think its sub-zero

making a 4 door to look still as good is a hard task and they seem to be doing it nicely

The headlight and interior looks awesome. Sub zero, simply no way this car can be catagorized the same as a RX8 in coolness.

Actually in that pic the rear seats look pretty cramped leg-room wise.
But its a sweet looking car.
