Old Pop

Can you drink pop that has been opened, drinken 1/2 way, put into a backpack, and forgotten about for a week? I have about 1/2 a bottle and being as cheap as I an, dont want to waset it. Dont want to die either.

If its sprite and it smells like salted cured citrus , I wouldn't drink it / I wouldn't even drink half opened / left in a bag for a day or two cans of pop.
