Dasani water

I bought a tiny bottle (yes, I paid $1.00 for 355mL of water) today...WHY ON EARTH DOES IT TASTE LIKE SALT-WATER, took a sip *ugh, so salty* then it left an after-taste as if I drank liquid ash-tray. Why is it like that...I also would like to say the same about AQUAFINA, except the after-taste is MUCH MUCH worse.

I can't imagine how Dasani tastes like what you've just described. To me, it's like taking tap water, removing the chlorine and adding a small bit of sugar, with a bit of a sweet aftertaste, kinda pleasant actually.

OMG I know it's soo salty! Why do the commercials have that 5x hot filter guys? o_0; It's so "eww". lol I do find that Aquafina is cleaner but I think it's also from the marketing. Seriously, if I did that water blind-folded test I may choose Coca Cola's Dasani's water. lol

Right now I'm drinking filtered water at home and Brita water at res. Brita's water not so bad compared to Dasani. I actually got a free bottle of Dasani and emptied it with Brita water. XD

To me, I would rather have water that has a bit of taste to it. Aquafina is absolutely tasteless. I don't know of any natural water in the world is as tasteless as that stuff!

Granted some of the heavily mineraled water out there -such as the Evian and the Perrier - is an acquired taste... Poland Springs is a good water and so is Dassini for the mass market.

I never buy it.

Not a fan either.. Evian of course is my favorite but it's expensive as hell.. Even Montclair and the ones you find in a Petro Canada is better than Dasani

i think you mean cleaner because they use reverse osmosis? well it still tastes awful.

Evian for me all the way. One of the few that are actually classified as mineral/spring water. "This must come from an underground source (not a public water supply) and can't be altered with chemicals." It's no wonder it is better and cleaner tasting than the rest, and I certainly don't mind paying the premium for it either.

any bottled water is fine, think of those without even clean water to drink from

some taste wierd (has a plastic taste), some are tasteless, and some have salt/sweet taste to it

It's nothing but Naya (Danone) for me especially the one frpom the Mirabel source, I'm surprised nobody mentionned it. It's spring water...no tap crap and you can taste the difference.

However, when it's a hot day and they have it at the store I'll splurge and get a bottle of Fiji!

i'd drink evian, naya, nestle, and montclair over dasani anyday. for some reason whenever i drink dasani, i think "this is what's leftover when they're done making coke". maybe it's because it has a weird sweetness to it.

i like nestle the best, and im not drinking tap water at work with those old ass pipes. But at home, tap water is fine cuz of our filters.

My house is almost 20 years old now, and we have a central filter and another nikken unit in the kitchen from which i usually drink and it tastes great. when i fillup my glass in the basement where the pipes never get used, the water tasts horrible. .

also, anyone ever had to replace a section of pipe in your house??? if you have, take a look, its gross. there's a thick layer of sludge around the inside of the pipe. knowing that all your water is touching that is enough to make you wanna drink only spring water or heavily filtered water. yuuuuck

Well it's more of a novelty than anything else. The bottle has swaroski crystals on it, but it's just normal filtered water inside the bottle.
