for online ISPU, your store must have a "checkmark" beside it... otherwise, you won't be able to do the ISPU option.
but even that, the online inventory isn't always correct as your local BB B&M MUST have this instock in order for your online ISPU order to be processed.

Metroid Pinball was the first game to be released with rumble pack compatibility. Thus far, very few games do utilize it, but i hope more in the future do. It originally released with the pack inside, so hopefully this one does as well, although it is not fitted for the DS lite (GBA slot size). Games that use it are: Metroid Pinball, Prime Hunters, Mario and Luigi Partners in Time, Magnetica, and probably a few others I am not aware of.

If somebody takes the time to search out deal, then brave the lines, and finally race in to get a deal ... they deserve whatever profit they get from it ... be that actually using the product or making a quick flip for cash.

I remember when TRU had a price error for a number of DS and PSP titles and one RFDer witnessed a guy with something like 60+ games in 2 baskets, many of the same games. $15 + tax each game and potentially good trade in value. Example: Death Jr. was $15 + tax and the trade in value at EB was something like $31.

Anyways, I wonder if you could actually PM at FS using the BB receipt showing the game purchased at 4.99? 110% of that difference would mean the PM'ed game would be about 50 cents?

If you think about, this online ordering system including instore pick up TOTALLY fugz up their 15 store limit. Because with an online order and ISPU we have up to 5 days to pick up the game, so they can't control 15 a day/store if they've already taken 75 orders at 4.99 and we all show up the same day.

what FS/BB really needs to do is follow a real time inventory system where you check online exactly how much stock remains at a particular store... sth like TS's inventory system (i find that their's is actually quite accurate most of the time)

If somebody takes the time to search out deal, then brave the lines, and finally race in to get a deal ... they deserve whatever profit they get from it ... be that actually using the product or making a quick flip for cash.
lol so you mean ... "1st come 1st served" , "you snooze you lose"?...
the prblm is ppl that just hoard ... and then try to resell on egay.
any1 remember last time TRU had a price error on the new PSP games for $15? i recall RFDers claiming that there were greedy ppl hoarding as many games as they can... :|

it should be a generic coupon ...
the many early birds here can confirm that it worked for them. so obviously it's a "public use " coupon.
Anyways, I wonder if you could actually PM at FS using the BB receipt showing the game purchased at 4.99? 110% of that difference would mean the PM'ed game would be about 50 cents?

you could, but the thing is if BB decides to call or check online to verify price, well then it'll be obvous the $5 price is not the "actual" selling price.
GL trying to pull that off :P

that 15 limit per store, if i'm not mistaken, is for the grand opening spcl for GTA.
so theoretically spking, all other stores in Canada could have >15 or much <15...
and about the online ISPU being f'd up... in many ways it is, but about the store taking "75 orders when there's e.g. 15 avail.", well they'll accept the 1st 15 orders that they rec'v for online ISPU (less if instore customers have already p/u'd the game ready to buy at the till.)

Personally I think the guy with two baskets is smart and probaly made a killing either on Ebay or selling them used. If he was able to fill two baskets he must have made it to the sale really early and had a plan of attack ready to go.
Yes it sucks if he is gets there before you do and cleaned off the shelves (I'd be pissed too) This is why it is so important to be at these sales super early so you get a crack at the deal. If that person didn't clean off the stock, somebody else probaly would. Wouldn't you rather that person be you?
Moral of the story, line up early and partake of the prize. The early bird gets the worm.
To be honest this is a non issue at most stores. Aside from pricing errors, large sales like the Best Buy one's generally have limits on how much a customer can "take advantage" of door crashers and crazy sales.
There is no point trying to moralize stating there is a "right" and "wrong" way to get a deal. For that guy the "Deal" was undoubtedly the hundreds of dollars he was going to make off the sale.
*shrug* It's all a matter of perspective I suppose. I can see it from both sides and in the end unless a store has "limits" per customer there really is no way to stop people from grabbing as much of it as they can

in the past, there's been similar situations like yours where your online ISPU price conflicted w/ the instore SCANNED price...
what i usually ask is that they honour the lower of the two prices (i believe somewhere in their online ISPU agreements, it states that they do honour whichever price is lower)

since this $10 deal for MPP was supposed to be a "GTA only, instore" deal (as per the BB grand opening deal thread)... i'd suspect the price scanned during the 1st few hrs of opening might've been $10, but now that the online price is back up, the instore price is likely $50 as well....
like i said b4, i heard/read somewhere that they would honour the lower of the 2 prices...

Sounds like some programmer is going to get heat for this one. Sounds like a bad programming / slacker job to me.
Programmer thinks.
Hmm.. its only instore for a couple of hours, no one will notice. Goes to modify the prices on scanners and forgets about the online prices are linked (maybe?).
Just sounds like he got lazy and did half the work on this GTA instore only thing and screwed up big via RFD effect.

so short deal,
just got my copy from my local best buy with no problem
And yes it comes with the rumble pack. I'm not really impressed about this but it offers something cool.
By the way, i played 10 minutes of it and it looks cool enough to even pick it up at $10. But $5 is sooooo better !

dunno why people are getting so excited and worried over this deal. This was available over 4 months ago at EBgames for 9.99 and then with PM at FS for 4.99. Picked up two copies myself two months ago. So... meh.
yeah, but that was GOTD right?
you think that many were successful in PMing at FS/BB against a competitor's 1-day only deal?
not every1 gets lucky...
EDIT: well, this was like a ~10hr online deal too i guess lol

I ordered for ISPU at the Langley BC location, got the order confirmation but no Store P/U Notification e-mail, even though they said it would be within 3 hours of the store opening (I ordered at 6am PST, store opened at 10am PST).
Has anyone else had more than a 3 hour delay either now or in the past?

I picked mine up two hours ago. The guy at the pick-up counter scanned it, and said "That'll be $56.xx" I had to point to the pick-up sheet attached to the game where the $45 discount was listed. He modified the price and gave it to me for $5. Then he said "That's why four other people have bought this game today!"
