It's a good price, but have you seen the gpslim 240? It's about $109 at anitec.ca and it is smaller again. The 236 is pretty tiny!

I wanted to reply that boxing day is months away and that sort of thing but then I realized it halfway through septemeber already :( . But here's hoping for points = cheap shipping again (everyone has been getting them from the newsletter, right?).

perhaps "everyone" now... but not back then when NCIX offered the redeem pts for free ground s/h promo...

it was pretty funny to see how many RFDers that actually were unaware of the newsletter pts :-0

RAM is going up, probably because of Vista.

Ncix had a sale a few months ago for the Kingston HyperX DDR single channels (with rebate it was a great price) That was the low point.

That's always the case with ram though. It always does this in a year. It drops and drops and drops, and then raises up really high eventually at a certain point.

It's really easy to regret with ram.

I bought some recently. Unfortunately it took NCIX 3-4 weeks to ship the ram because they didn't have it in stock. When ordering it didn't say that they were sold out. To make a long story short I didn't qualify for the mail-in rebate, because of the late shipment. I don't buy from them anymore, as they didn't refund me for the "lost" mail-in rebate money.

the thing is, the rebate is based on when you purchased it, as opposed to when it shipped...

EDIT: oh wait you said 3-4 wks... so if the postmark date is 30 days, then yeah, you're prbly SOL b/c of the need for the original UPC....
