I have the Grand Opening flyer of the downtown BB and nothing special.
Except:

37" westinghouse LCD 1080P monitor (lvm-37w1) $1499.99
42" HP Plasma (PL4260N) $1799.99 don't know if it's cold or warm?

What a lousy grand opening flyer, I guest they spent all the money on Beyonce and John Mayer

I was just checking out the flyer.

How about the 42" Toshiba HDTV DLP ? I haven't really been keeping an eye on prices of TVs, plasmas etc.

There are some SMOKING hot deals in that flyer. You're looking at the wrong products.

I for one will be lining up in the wee hours of the morn.

The main problem with the deals is that in typical lame BB fashion everything is limited to 30 - 50 units per day. So if you want to take advantage it means lining up half the night.

But trust me, there are some insane deals.

There are lots of good things in it.

Namely if you line up 30 minutes before the store's opening on sunday I think you get a raffle ticket and 15 minutes before it opens they draw for a 500$ gift card. There are some nice laptops (warm, not hot) and some random peripherals for sale. THe E2cs are 69.99$ (no MIR) and there's a generic ipod speaker dock kind of system that retails for aobut 130$ on sale for 50$. Some digital cameras and some mice and wireless keyboards, but nothing to write home about.

I think that one is 70 dollars off the regular price (369.99) with a limit of 10 per day.

Honestly though I'm not good at pricing digi cams. They have the Canon A700 going for 379.99 (reg. 449.99) witha limit of 20 per day. There is also a Panasonic DVD Camcorder regular 599 on sale for 499 (no limits).

I didn't post those one's I wasn't sure if they are good deals or not.

How crazy does this sort of thing usually get? How early would one have to be there to have a chance at one of the Xbox 360 premium sets?

On Labour Day a few years back I remember people starting to line up at Midnight at some stores -- people setting up tents and crap. I'm assuming they wanted to make a huge purchase. Personally I'm going early ... but not that early. I called the store to ask what time would they recommend and they basically seemed to think there would be people camped out all night.

Bottom line it gets C R A Z Y.

i guess it doesn't make sense for people in uptown, eastend, or westend to commute all the way to eaton center at midnight and line up for the whole night, hoping to get something sweet, which is not guaranteed because most of the items are limited to 50, unless there's something specific in that you are looking for.

i already bought it for 229.99, the 20" viewsonic lcd
vg2021m

for some reason it was on sale already

there were 8 on the shelf downtown and when i made another circle around, there were 3 and others were buying already

dunno if they are gonna have enough now for the grand opening tomorrow (or maybe they have more in the back)

but the monitor is not specific to downtown, its available for 229.99 at all BB

i just got it a day earlier like some other shoppers at the time tonight
