It is out of the city but the new Fallsview casino has a really good buffet ayce crab legs, shrimp and pretty good selection of other..forget the prices but I beleive its $29 on weekends, cheaper for afternoon buffets.

IMO worth the drive, although there should be others in Toronto, someone mentioned the Mandarin and that's good value for your money as well with excellent variety

Mandarin guards it though and tries to shame you into not eating that many.

WTF? Me and my dad both eat a good amount worth of crab every time we go there and they haven't said anything. Costco sells like 4 alaskan crab legs for $44. Mandarin crab is a bit smaller but still very good. The manager is a very nice guy who knows my dad. If you want AYCE crab go to mandarin during their crab leg celebration. They have cold and hot crab and its already pre-cut so its easy to crack and get the meat out VERY easily.

Me and my dad both eat a lot of crab when we go and I say they loose about $100 on both of us.

That place is F-I-L-T-H. The whole place is absolutely discusting. Everything you touch is greasy/sticky. Their washrooms STINK, their urinals do not flush (the thing is broken) and the whole floor/walls are dripping with dirt. I cannot imagine their kitchen. They even have signs on all the doors that lead to food prep places that read "do not enter". I used to eat there but I finally decided to stay away. They don't even have a pass from the food inspector. They would never pass inspection. avoid this place.

I wil TOTALLY AGREE with JAG. I went there on a Friday night! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!

The snow crab legs I believe are steamed, but then placed into a large metal tray filled 3/4 of the way with BUTTER! (Or is it melted margarine?). Thus when you take some and put it on your plate, you have butter soup...all oily and nasty. I think they do this to discourage people from eating the crabs.

Also, for the dungeoness crabs, if they were fresh, they might be nice. They appear to be cooked in the same fashion as spicey squid/tofu with the spicy salt and tiny dried peppers. When I took a few pieces and tried to eat them, all the edible parts of the crab appeared and tasted like they were but through a dehydrator! NOW I KNOW WHAT CRAB JERKY TASTES LIKE! Based on the fact that we arrive just when dinner started, this could only mean one thing:

1) The crab was the same from lunch (which I doubt...most places don't offer the seafood dishes until dinner - hence the higher price)
2) The crab was from the night before or even earlier!

The washrooms are DISGUSTING! The men's bathroom has two urinals, one was covered in a plastic bag; and the one that was open, would NOT flush!

Don't ask me about the toilet!

And the taps? NO SOAP and no paper towels!

Again...DO NOT GO THERE!!!

Cheers,
Tano
