I'm talking about the place that used to be called The Red Rock. It's now suppose to be some ayce Japanese restaurant. I walked by it once and I think it also has Korean bbq. Has anyone been to this place? How is it?

yeah.... saw it opened few months ago and eventually made my first visit lasy month with friends.
First off, the renovation was so-so as I believed a lot of the interior wasn't touched and original from previous bar & grill place.
Quite poor of circulation, I felt hot even before I started cooking (yes, we had table cooking that nite). They used charcoal/gas mixed of grill which similar to the one in Seoul Garden (in front of Market Village) that you can taste the charcoal smell mixed with meats.
They provide fusion type of food Japanese mixing with Korean. In fact, all you can eat Korean charcoal cooking was NOT listed in the menu, and the waitress who served us recommended us to try (maybe she saw us were Chinese and thought that most Chinese liked to try out ACYE).
Restaurant was spacious. Staffs are authentic Korean (from what I heard they spoke to each other). We were there almost until closing, and one of the chefs (I think he was) visited us and chatted for a while.
Over all it's a ok place to go... food was fresh, and we didn't try any Japanese food tho, all table cooking what we've tried. Besides they served regular Korean dishes such as Chapchae (noodles), Bim Bim Bap, Calbi, Bugoogi... etc

A typical RFD question - what was the price for AYCE Korean and what did they have in terms of selection?

I went by this place yesterday and here is my review.
We arrived at around 5:45pm. Walked inside and the place was completely empty. We were the only customers. They sat us down in our own little booth. The promotion for the month of October is ayce Japanese and Korean bbq. I don't normally eat the side dishes they provide you with but my girlfriend said she liked them more than the other places we have been to. They first brought over a plate of meat for the Korean bbq. This consisted of beef, beef ribs, chicken, and pork. We were also given some raw onions and mushrooms tho throw onto the grill. The grills are charcoal and gas. The first thing I noticed was the white meat chicken. Really tender and the best chicken I've tasted at any Korean bbq. The beef ribs were tasty but a bit too sweet imo. The pork was good and also better than any other Korean bbq place I've been to. Not a lot of fat and the pieces aren't paper thin.
The Japanese food was just ok to be honest. The rolls didn't look very neat but they tasted better then their appearance. Two items that they had was spicy beef and spicy chicken. Basically they'd bring you the raw meat and we grilled it ourselves. Very tastey and would highly recommend it for those who love spicy food. Their selection is pretty good.
At the end the bill was a little over $45 so with tip it was a bit over $50 for two people. Considering it's both ayce Korean BBQ and Japanese it was not bad. By the time we had left we were still the only two customers in the restaurant. It's really too bad because the owner was really nice and the server was real friendly. This restaurant was formerly a bar so the atmosphere is different from your typical Korean/Japanese restaurant. I will definately go back if this place can survive. They have been open for 5 months and every time I drive by I don't see any cars parked outside.

i will give them a hand this weekend :)Be sure to ask them about the ayce Korean BBQ and Japanese promotion. And if you do go for the spicy chicken or beef do ask for a glass of ice water ahead of time.

Okay guys. I think this restaurant changed name (or even owner).
I drove by today, I can't see the restaurant name that used to be there... however, it's replaced by a Korean sign guess it's restaurant name and "0708" written underneath the Korean words.
I drove by, that's why I don't even know if it's in business.
Anyone passes by? Anyone visited?
