CounterAct Electronic Rust Protection? opinions

I bought this at Canadian Tire and was considering trying it out since it is so much cheaper than Krowning the vehicle every year. Thing is it could be a big risk that doesn't pay in the long run - body job is not cheap and once it has holes in it its too late. So should I install or return?

I looked at the website and read their theory behind it - charging the metal. I have also had the guy at Canadian Tire say he tried it out years ago and he figured it worked (what thats worth I have no idea).

Anyway if the technology has been around for as long as they claim what is the results? Has anyone seen any reviews or actual experiences with this type of device?

Last I heard that this does not work, and people sued the company for false claims.

I believe applications from Rust Check or Krown are the best for preventing rust on cars (if applied correctly)

Read it doesn't work.. since the metal frame of your entire car is not 1 whole continous piece of metal. The charge only protects that one section you put the device to.

There was a link to a lawsuit or a gov document that states that this product does not work. I can't find it now though.

I hear the RS2000 is better than counteract.

I wouldn't get it, because not every part of your car is touching metal to metal.
It will slow it down, but not stop it from rusting.

Better off with Krown or Ziebart every year.

Take it back asap. And don't use the money you get back to get one of those "turbonator" doodads that are supposed to increase your mileage 50% either.
