Is there any good Indian buffets in Scarborough that anyone's aware of?

I searched in past threads and the only place that came up was Papadumas at Birchmount and Sheppard. Is there any other places that anyone can recommend? Cause... It seems kinda shady to me. ^__^;;

(please do not list ones in Richmond Hill/Markham. I'm looking for specifically Scarborough area.)

i also checked it up on dinesafe, and it hasn't had any violations if thats what you're worried about when you say "shady" :)

the place is rather small, located at a plaza.. not much selection, but still an alright place!

Papadums was not that impressive to me at all. The set up seemed like a house party, I'm not sure if they've improved yet as I went when they were new. Bombay Palace is the one I'd recommend to anyone, great quality food.

There's one on Warden a few minutes north of Steeles that I pass by regularly, can't recall the name but there are some huge lineups.

Anyone know where I'm talking about, and if it's any good?

There really aren't any good Indian restaurants in Scarborough. Bombay palace is OK, I would probably rate that a 6 -7/10. Unfortunately I eat out way too much. For my suggestions on good Indian restaurants you gotta make the trip out to Mississauga. Here is my list of pretty good indian restaurants:

1) Nirvana - mississauga. By far one of the best places I have eaten. Great food and service. Too bad I live in scarborough.

2) Host - Mississauga location only. Great Food here, the Host in Richmond Hill is crap (relative to Mississauga, but still above average Indian food), especially after they sent their best cook to the one in Mississauga to get more business. However, the Host buffet in Richmond hill is pretty good in terms of value for money.
Avoid Downtown Host as well.

3) Aroma - Downtown Toronto. Good food, especially surprised since this is in the downtown core, and most Indian restaurants in the downtown core are a little bit too watered down.

4) Kama - Downtown. Food isn't that great, but decor is nice

5) Dhaba - Downtown, Same comment as kama above

6) Brar - Brampton (Dixie and Orenda) location only!!!!! All vegetarian buffet and hundreds upon hundreds of items. And it's HUGE!!!! Can't beat the value for money at this place.

7) Indian Kitchen - Thornhill. I really liked eating here, and been back a few times.

feel free to add, or comment on this list.

Good list, I'll agree with it, however I'd add

2) Ashoka, I would seriously put this at number 1 if it wasn't for their below average Korma dishes, however everything else is thebest i've tasted in the city. bumping Host to 3rd, Dhaba to 8), Brar, hmmm.. food's okay, but the veggie selection is amaaaaazing, Mandarin of indian food.

I would add Babur to the list too.

Bombay Palace is near my work and imo I agree with Chigu, it's 6.5 out of 10.

If you go to Little India, there are a few amazing places ie. Siddhartha, which is buffet, and LaHore Tikka House which is just stellar.

Outside of GTA I've been to The Host in Richmond Hill, it was good but far from my work. Madras on Ellesmere is awesome but too pricey.

Still looking for a place that's reasonable in price and really good in Scarborough.
