Indonesian food?

Say if I were feeling a little brave and want to try something completely new that I haven't tried before (I'm chinese and am familiar with authentic chinese and vietnamese food and english rib/steak, etc.), what can I expect when I go into an indonesian restaurant? Not even knowing if what it offers is authentic or english-tailored?

What are some dishes/plates I should try?

I'm in Calgary, if you can recommend some restaurants as well that'd be great, and street location.
