I personally think Bape is on the way out. It was cool like 2-3 years ago but now I see all these hoodrats wearing their fake hoodies/Bapestas, inspired by rappers like Lil Wayne, Juelz Santana, and even massari. Ice Cream is definitely not in. I also think LRG is slowly on the way out. The new designs for this fall are ugly.

Ecko is funny, they sell it at the Bay for kids- like 6 year olds thesedays.

Of course fashion is limited to culture, fashion is based on culture. Thanks for pointing out the obvious... Most of the people in this forum are from Canada or US so your comment is not only obvious but pointless.

Brands are not in or out all the time, there is no in or out, can't you understand that? Maybe you've been marketed so badly you don't enjoy life without companys telling you what to wear?

No such thing as brands that are "in" or "out"? Wrong.
Its marketing, it quality, its design, its the lifestyle the brand is associated in trying to portray, either way, some brands are more popular that others.
Whats "in" is not necesarily stylish. But they are definitely related. There is a reason why they some brands are in and others no matter how much marketing are out... could it be design, quality, cut?
Your taste doesn't appeal to me. I dress well and live life. By the way, classy comment there.

Thats why you have no idea what you are writing about.
A brand represents the items they sell, how do you think a brand becomes a brand. People associate a certain look, design, quality and lifestyle with that brand. Thats why its so difficult to build a brand, we just see the end product and say "in" or "out".
If you feel a polo shirt or suit is the same for every brand than I don't want to explain further.

Its NOT what I like, I just described in general what branding is and a couple of reasons why its a brand. You are imposing you views on everyone else writing “I don't really care about price or brand”. Thats you.
The brands that are “in” directly affect the fit and look. Maybe not your look but whats “in” is the more popular view from people who obviously know more than you about fashion. The reason why you don’t really care, is you just don’t know. So my suggestion is get someone with a clue to make a call on what looks good.

You should think a bit before you post...
There is a difference between high fashion, sports and urban fashion brands. Different groups of people enjoy different types of clothing but thats because they are in different categories. Again because you don't know, you thing all clothing is one big category. Each category has a specific market, image, lifestyle it wants to portray.
Knowing how branding and marketing works is how not to be taken advantage.

Just look at their massive cologne promotion these days and u'll see that it's become a sophisticated brand. For those who don't know, they were the first to move forward outta all the street brands and start making fitted clothings, men's suits and all that stuff.
The rest such as Phat Farm and Enyce are still strictly STREET

...Phat Farm also did this about 8 yrs ago, they also make urban/semi-formal U sophisticated wear & sell suits & ish...where do you think SJ got the idea & blueprint from.
SJ has won serveral awards tho and is on its way to doing big things. Has anyone smelled the cologne? Heard its impossible to find & smells decent.
PF also owns at least 4 or 5 spinoff companies in the fashion industry alone: PhatFarm, BabyPhat, PhatFragrances, DefJam University, RunAthletics, RunApparel...etc...So you cant discredit PF Russel Simmons although he's a 50 yr old yoga guru who dates hot 20' something models he still has alot of street cred & stood the true test of time.
Yes, Phat Farm may have started way back in the days but it was only designed as couture for magazine ads. Sean John took the idea and actually DEVELOPED it and made it one of the regular lines, not just for promotion purposes. Besides, PH does attempt to make "dress shirt" and guess what? They stick to their crazy colors and big logos to "bring out that hip hip essence". How ironic
Second, where can you find Phat Farm suits? There's prolly only one or two stores that would carry them in Toronto whereas many stores carry SJ suits.
Third, I've seen PH suits in a store at NYC once and the cut is just like their hip hop clothings that run super large. If you wear regular size L garments, you prolly will only fit in their 38 suits.
Lastly, do you know that Sean John Collection has been regularly on the fashion runway since 2002?

To wear Tommy Bahama, you should be like 45+ at least.
Their pants feel pretty good. My dad wears it lol.
Hmm,
maybe i should take back my post??
Tommy Bahama and Izod are popular with the 40+ business people who like to hang out and play golf and polo ;)
But if you want to know what is "in" just go to the mall and window shop, go to chapters and look at a bunch of fashion magazines.
Even then, they all contradict themselves.
Best to try and just find clothing YOU LIKE and FITs you!
Just buy whatever you like and be happy with it!

Pringle is the sh*t, too bad nobody in Canada sells it anymore. I got a pringle belt, a few shirts and my favortie sweater is pringle.
As for PDC, definetly not as good as they used to be every since scott morison left and is not making Earnest swen.

I like urban clothing, but I dont know where to get it. The only stores in Burligton are like Winners, The Bay and Sportchek. I bought some Five Four clothing in Vaughn Mills, and I liked it. Where I find l-r-g, or clothing like that?

I personally find them sick, but there are people that wear them. Most noticeably, caucasian males in Canada and certain groups of people in Hong Kong. I never found them interesting, looks too much like Mikey Mouse shoes.
And again, I state that Fendi is in, replacing LV for the high end bag department.

yea those things looks so0oo0o0o bad....but i tried them on and they're hella comfy, however i wouldn't wear it in public.
the crocs are this yrs trend just like how last yr, girls were wearing those sequenced sandals w/ the mesh tops and flower on it...
those things look just as bad as the crocs and its even worse that every other girl wears it.

Crocs might be ok in the summer when going to the beach, kind of a sandal replacement, but NOW?
I see people on teh subway wearing them, and with thick socks and its disgusting.
Lacoste is being played out because of the amazing amount of fakes out there though I dont think it'll ever die.

Crocs are good for the cottage but they are not meant for fall and certainly not meant for socks period!
