File a complaint with Paypal, if you paid by Paypal. Item is not as described.

If you paid by credit card, call up your credit card company and dispute it.

My initial reaction is to say "Stop buying shoes if a checkmark is important to you"

Thats why you pay more attention when you buy. How much did you get the shoes for? If they were less than $50 you were guaranteed to get either fakes or beaters.

This thread is useless without pics...If you post pics, maybe some of the shoe experts here can help you.

ANother question...were the shoes in new condition? Just because they are 2 years old and have been stored in a closet and never worn, doesn't mean he has to state that.

Post a link of the auction also, that will help us determine the situation...

if you are talking about that little oval shaped thing at the front of the shoe attached to the shoe lace, yea they didnt put them on the shoes a couple of years back i still have like 2 or 3 pairs of old airforces and they dont have them, some of the new ones dont even have them, anyways why would you complain and disput over a little piece of plastic or metal

edit: just thought about it, if you are talking about that stitching under the laces, they didnt have that either on the older models, your best bet it to just post some pics to let us know exactly what the problem is and so that some of the shoe fanatics here can tell you if they are real or fakes

I already told you...unless you post pics, we can't determine if its fake.

A lot of the fakes these days are almost as good as the real thing because lot of them use the master form from the original factory which is probably just next door producing the fakes.

do the shoes have the metal nike tag on the laces? I think that if it has the metal tag, there will be no checkmark stitched on.
(I have two high cut af1s with the checkmark stitched and no metal tag. I also have 3 low cut af1s with the metal tag and no checkmark stitched.)
