my friend told me that with the company that she's with, she's the secondary driver, and she's had 2 accidents, but on file, they were listed as her mother's accidents

is this really how it works, whatever the secondary driver does, it gets "blamed" on the principal's driver?

I think both of them will have the record on file. Yes, the primary one for sure will have the black mark.

that is correct the principle will face the monetary value and the claim history but the secondary will have the accident on file....

If the secondary driver gets her own vehicle later on (same policy or new policy), the accidents can be transferred and the principal will have a clean record again.

The accidents CAN be transferred? or they WILL be transferred

in other words, can the secondary driver report that she has a clean record when getting her own insurance policy?

no

it's going to show up as the secondary was in the accident

My parents recently totalled my vehicle and since my parents are insured with the same company, under a different policy, it is their unsurance that will get dinged.

the accident can be transferred..BUT NOT THE CLAIM...the claim will be there since its the principal driver who MADE the claim under HIS/HER policy.
