Hey am I the only one with allergies here now?

You know, runny and itchy nose, tired eyes, sneezing, and itchy palate?

I am 'dying' over here with symptoms too.

>:(

I use Reactine 10mg everyday, and on really bad days I use some Nasonex too. If my eyes are itchy, Pantonol. It can get really bad...

I used to be allergic to ragweed, doesn't happen at all anymore. And yes, I do go outside, probably 45 mins each day. But, I'm still allergic to cats I beleive, well maybe not anymore, I haven't touched one for a long time.

There is a 40mg Reactine. Do you have a drug plan? If so that maybe covered. =)

I take Aerius whenever I go home, since I developed dog fur allegry in the recent years. Back when I had pollen I took Clartin.

i am extremely allergic to ragweed with even small amounts in the air..

i have tried.. tylenol allergies (does not work)
reactine (does not work)
those sniffing things for the nose (does not work)

nothing seems to work!!

i sneeze, have itchy and red eyes, i cannot breath.. because my nose completely shuts off and i am forced to breath with my mouth even when standing...

this completely sucks.

does anyone know how much these "shots" cost? and where i can purchase them? and if its effective?

i'm doomed this season. and school is next week..

I have ragweed allergy too. My allergies alway start on the third week of August and lasts for a month until the 2nd week of September. I usually just take Claritin and it works instantly for me. I start off with the regular 24 hours for the first week and a half then to extra strenght after that. It's always on time so I know ahead of time and make sure I have claritin ready. :D

Thanks for the tip! I'm already using 20mg Reactine thats covered under my health plan, so it's all good. Same with the Pantanol and Nasonex too.

invest in a plasma purifier unit in the bedroom ;) so your system doesnt inhale this stuff for the first few hours in the morning before you wake up

I hate that!! when it completely shuts out your nose, you have to breath throught your mouth.. try getting to sleep like that, its next to impossible to do so.. i'd do yourself a favor, get the shots, it feels better.

I myself had allergies, but it was at the begginning of the month.. lol,

I was like you until I tried the "exact" (from loblaws) allergies stuff. I think that it's like reactine. There are 2-3 types of medications out there sold under ~10 different brands. Look at the packages and try the ones you haven't.

My dog has it pretty bad this time of year, every year.
I keep her inside from mid-August to mid/end September.

i get allergy shots because my allergies are really bad. i can't recall how much they cost but i'm guessing at least a couple hundred. i had to get them every week for about a year or 2, every 2 weeks for the 3rd year and then slowly about once a month after that. they are effective but i found that after a while i guess your body gets sensitive to the dosages and sometimes i would get really bad hives after getting the shots, so you have to ask the doctor to lower the dosage.

damn.. that's way too expensive for me.. i think i'll just breath with my mouth for now..

i dont get this, i had allergies with all the eyes, nose, and sneezing problems in the beginning of june, late may. and then all of a sudden it stopped after 2 weeks and then it just started again a week ago...??

i know its seasonal b/c ive had it every year during the summer but i dunno what it is?? its sooo bad my record of continuous sneezing has been 22, i try to beat that everytime i sneeze.

i use nasal spray and eye drops but ill get the reactine 40mg and see if that works, getting shots is goin overboard

Same here. I did my allergy testing a few weeks ago and found out I was allergic to grass, trees, and dust mites.

I got the same thing, do the same thing.
It's pretty annoying when the allergy lasts for like a month and then everything just goes back to normal...

The cooler it gets at night settles the pollen down.
Hate to say it but cannot wait for the first frost that is what will seal that dirty little pollen downnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Fellow sufferer as well. The bad thing is that first frost will mean truly end of summer and beginning of winter *shudder. Gotta be a downside to an up...ah wells.
