http://www.packageexpress.com/

since STS died, i decided to try out package express. Initially, when i looked at the website it looked pretty shady, but i decided to give it a try. Registration was free for a US mail box with them so there wasnt anything to lose.

I ordered a couple hoodies off nixonnow.com and had them ship to my package express mail box. All was smooth, the only thing i had to do was add their address to my CC card so nixon would ship.

Once my package arrived, i got an email confirmation the same day from package express. On saturday i emailed them and asked them to quote me a shipping price which they did so (even on a saturday). I inturn gave them my cc number etc (which seems kinda shady) via email. Note that for each package, a 3.00$ service fee is charged. My only complain is the somewhat high shipping cost. 28$CAD for 4lb from washington to alberta. But i guess its the price you pay if you want something from the states.

my package was shipped out today and i received a .pdf receipt and tracking number in my email.

all in all, my experience was pretty good, i will do business with them again. The service was quite speedy is terms of communication and shipping. Perhaps in the future they'll implement some sort of https payment system instead of having to communicate everything through email

just my 2 cents

I have my stuff mailed to the UPS store in Ogdensburg. It's a 45 minute drive from Ottawa each way + $5 in toll + $5usd/package, but depending on what you're buying, it can definately be worth it!

It only sucks when I get harassed by US customs...
