I remember there was a somewhat thread type thing in the Toronto Star where people could post a story of how someone helped them out..

So in this thread, post some things or a thing that you recently did that helped someone out..

This will at least give us some hope that our society is not as chaotic as people make it out to be and not going downhill.

Well I will start.

It was early in the morning and I was at the mall, and I saw an old lady had bird seed in her shopping cart and was taking it to her car. I followed and and asked her if she wanted some help. She said sure and after I put it in the car told me that she wishes there were more people like me. Well It made my day alot better :)

Someone thought they'd be funny and locked their bike to a tree right beside my front porch (about a foot away, blatantly on my property)

I've been setting a good example by not cutting the chain and throwing the bike in a wood chipper.

I gave free stuff away to customers at work. I could get in trouble for it but I could care less.

One time I went to use the payphone and theyr was a set of house keys along with car keys all in one. I decided to take the keys and leave a note with my number saying to call me if the rightful owner of keys reads this.

2 days later the person called me and we arranged to meet in a plaza, I gave him the keys, and he gave me $50. Was a nice day.
