Dont know if this is posted somewhere, but does anyone know how to beat any of the games, or which ones are more likely to beat? I know one, for the weight guessing, try to bring like 10 pound ankle weights or somethn like that, if you really want to win :p

ball games involve an extreme amount of backspin. it doesnt matter how lightly you throw it... without the backspin you wont get it.
same with basketball... it involves extra back spin b/c the hoop is alot smaller.

The game where you have 3 blocks stacked on top of each other with a air gun... that game is tricky b/c the gun doesnt shoot where you aim.
The 'sights' (a gun term) or 'alignment' of the aiming is always off. So after a few shots (yeah you gotta waste money) youll find out how the gun shoots and where to adjust your aim.

the color roulette games are pretty easy to win if you have patience, and a lot of loonies. Just stick around and see what colors are not winning, usually there is only 6, if the color green hasn't won in 3 - 4 spins, it's time to place a large bet on it, the pay outs are small but if you spend enough time you'll definitely come out a winner.

The game with plates is rigged. My brothers girlfriend is a carney there and she runs midway games. The ame where your throw a ball at the plates is rigged since you have to BREAK a plate to win a prize. You should know that 90% of the plates are backed with plastic frisbees so even when you hit them with a wallop they dont break. The game isn't impossible to win, its just not what it seems. There is probably one real plate and that one rarely breaks since u either dont hit it, or it is cuchioned by the plastic frisbees uberneath it so be warned. If you wanna win that game u really gotta hammerit in there has hard as u can and then just hope for the best.

for the shooting the star game, don't shoot at the star....shoot a small hole around it and punch it out.

this is not true. each event is indepenant of the previous event. so if there's six colours, each colour has a probability of 1/6 hitting.

This is why you need to throw the ball on an angle instead of dead on WHEN the person in charge of the game isn't looking (or is distracted).

Yes, McKinley is right. I saw this game last weekend. If I remember correctly each colour had possible payouts of 2,3,4 or 5, depending on where the dial stopped.

Stay far away from this game! For it to be a fair game, all payouts should be 5 to 1, not the average 3.5 to 1 they are paying out!

Also stay away from the over/under 7 game (the one where two players throw a ball onto a spinning wheel with slots numbered 1 through 6.) This game has a house edge of 16.67%. Yikes!

But then again, I probably don't have to tell you guys that all of those games at the CNE give terrible odds for the player...

If you want better odds for gambling go to their gambling tent...

But back to the topic, does anyone know how to do that bike game where the steering wheel / wheel turn the opposite way?

Im pretty sure all you need are steady hands and a good STRONG pushoff, you dont really want to be sterring, so the faster you take off, the less you need to steer

the game with the 3 cups stacked up, 2 on the bottom 1 on top... they make the space wide for the bottom 2 cups, so u cant shoot all 3 down with the REALLY light ball they give u with the air gun, but when me and my buddies were there, they lady let us Lean in... and my friend was really tall and basicly, he was 10 cm's away from the targets and he shot all the cups down.. lol and we got an electric scooter.

tip for the dart game through baloons (do they still have this or is it too dangerous now!?) is to not throw the dart hard, instead lob it at the board and you have a better chance at taking out one or several balloons as the dart falls.

And to answer post 2, there is no such thing as the "law of averages (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_averages)";-)

the colour game, you should play the one that pays 4 to 1 odds only.
you can win there, but there is no colour that wins more than other, it is all luck because each colour has their equal chance of winning so i dont know where your coming up with that stuff.

1 in 6 each colour can win. what you can do is usually bet 2 colours al lthe time in teh end you should be up

In the water gun shooting accuracy game, play the first time and when the game stops, don't let the gun nor change position of the gun.....let your freind/family member pay for you to go again and now you are in a position to win since your gun is perfectly placed for the next round to hit the bullseye square from the start (all the way to victory).

when you are playing bumper cars try and hit the smaller kids head on when they aren't looking in your direction.

While driving, just how exactly can you hit someone head on, without them NOT looking in your direction?

when they have their head turned trying to find someone to hit. kinda like when you're scoping out chicks and you walk into a lightpole.

The game where you have to throw the softball into the basket is almost impossible when the basket is empty. When they demenstarte it there is always a ball already inside that absorbs the bounce from the thrown ball.

I've won this. The trick is, as mentioned, lots of backspin.

I think my recommendation for the game is...don't play them. Save the money and buy a damned stuffed animal. It's cheaper in the long run.

I've won a couple times in this game. Big prize too! I was always pretty good at that. One time, I asked my friend.. u want a doll? She pointed it out and go.. okay. I pay my five bucks and won it on the first shot. Made me feel good... :cheesygri

Not so good when I had to carry the big doll for the whole day. I should've played the game just before we left...
