If there are 2 guys having the same personalities and everything else being the same except one is just a normal person who works 9 to 5 but the other one has a rich family (house : 5million , car: $200000 , own 2 companies with over 500 employees).

Who would you choose?

I'd pick the one with the bigger hot dog.

He said everything else being the same, including swanshenstook. Anyway, I would man #2...because he will have more time to have fun with me...he won't be gone for the majority of the day. However, it would also depend on what I do for a living.

In that case, I'd take the cash of the rich one, and run off with the poor one.

I didn't vote because even if both men work as hard as each other, they will still not end up with the same financial status.

Nothing is fair in this world. My ex-bf had to work for everything that he has because he wasn't born in a rich family but he was a good guy and he worked hard. A lot of my mom's friends' sons are all born in super rich families but they don't work as hard yet they own expensive cars and huge houses and use only brand names.

Money isn't important as long as you are happy with the way you live.

EDIT: I guess I will vote for the 3rd one.

being with a rich SO, unless you've known them from childhood and know what they're like deep down, will bring it's own set of problems. Money is the root of all evil and can do a lot of things to people.

Aside from that, it depends on the lifestyle your SO has and whether that lifestyle suits you. Another thing is the time available he/she will have to spend with you.

Money being a part of life, having enough to not having to worry about bills and living paycheque to paycheque and enough to enjoy day to day life is more than enough. Money does not necessarily equate to happiness.

Imagine two women... on the inside they are identical in every way. But one looks physically average while the other one is really beautiful.

With all other things equal the man will always choose the more physically attractive woman.

With all other things equal the woman will always choose the more wealthy man.

But the poll has nothing do do with looks, you're comparing apples to oranges.

If a girl was comparing a good looking guy to one that wasn't, then she too would pick the better looking one, simple. If there were 2 chicks, one rich and one poor, while everything else being equal, then I'm sure the guy also wouldn't mind a sugar mommy

I think i will go with the normal....I want to work hard and earn my money! I dont want it to be passed down to me because someone saved it for me....they earned that money and they (family) can spend it on themselves(family)....me being rich through their wealthiness tells me that I am incapable of making my own money

So if you ever win the lottery, PM me, and I'll take the winnings for you, and hire you to work for me, that way you can feel satisfied about earning money.

I'll even give you a company car!

Wow so many goldiggers here. The Poll shows it so don't complain. I for one just want to go for someone normal. Sure people say Money is everything but I find people who are rich or act like they are tend to be snobby. I have a friend who I think is either rich or overly spoiled.

Heres why:

1. Takes Lavender Baths whenever home and uses the Laptop with a "waterproof" keyboard
2. Had a 5K SLI computer to play WoW
3. Had I think 3-4 LCD monitors to multitask on

My friend even asked me if I drove a BMW. I myself found that offensive when I have not even reached 25 years of age where insurance drops the slightest bit and my friend insisted on asking me that question knowing that I was a middle class person. I don't know maybe I am a little bit sensitive but thats how I am. Someone who is normal is hard to come by as a lot of you seem to go for the rich (poll proven). If I went for a rich person, then I'd have to compete and show that I am "wealthy" and rich too. Its kind of a bad image where a woman is rich and the man is not since I bet every women wants to be treated like a queen. I had that feeling...yet I was treated as dirt.

You didn't say anything about whether it was a GOOD personality.
If they are both idiot's~niether. If they are both great guys but have no physical attraction (need sexual attraction for a intimate relationship)~neither.

There are WAY too many factors to consider with this sinerio. You can't have two guys the same in every way except the money bit. But in the end~financial security is an important detail in a relationship for both the man and the woman to think about. Now a days two income homes are more common then one.

If everything's exactly the same, rich... because I've been married and struggling for money and it's a lot of pressure. Being rich avoids even the possibility of that happening, and enables you to work hard AND enjoy life, not just work hard.

The question is not if they're rich. The question is how easily can you get money out of them.

The rich dude may be a frequent RFD visitor and a super tight wad. You'll be wearing Walmart & Giant Tiger fashion for the reset of your life.

The normal dude may have never hard of RFD and spends everything he's got on you to make you happy.

BTW, are you hot and worthy of these guys? Post a picture.

Why does nobody seem to be able to read? Both people are exactly the same in every single way except the number in their bank account.

This is the general problem of this board. Last time I've posted a question with 2 options and people picked on every detail instead of looking at the two obvious options.

BTW I voted rich. What's the point of going put with someone that is pooor when they are virtually the same except their financial situation?

We know men in this type of situation and what you posted red_roses is a fallacy. These types of guys generally work very hard. They have a need to prove to themselves, their families and everyone else that they are capable of running the family businesses, etc. These guys work 80-100 hrs a week in most cases....

JohnB
Aug 28th, 2006, 03:47 PM
It depends on how much free time both guys would have - that counts as quality of life too...you cant put a price tag on free time, and doing fun things with people you like...

JohnB
Aug 28th, 2006, 03:52 PM
And also the question is not clear...

Are you saying the rich guy is rich himself --- or just has a rich family...

With a rich family, maybe the guy would work less than 9-5 (and take lots of vacations) since he has no real need for money - or - maybe he has to work 100 hrs week to keep an eye on the family fortune...

Please reword your question for clarity.

Lets look at the exact converse of this thread:

If there are 2 girls having the same personalities and everything else being the same except one is just a normal person who has small breasts, but the other one has perfect C-cup breasts (perfect half-dollar nipples, nice red lacy bra, owns 2 cups with over 500cc in each).

Who would you choose?

This thread is irrelevant... you can never have 2 guys exactly the same except for their bank accounts. Different situations affect how people act, period.

This is different. I don't think breast is too much of an issue. A girl with better looking face is a more proper analogy.

People who choose the poor guy is like saying: " I'd rather have an income of $50k than $1000k."

Ya need money to make money.

Choosing the normal guy gives you the same chance choosing any other average joe blow. Choosing the rich guy gives you something to work with. Being rich is a privelage, if you abuse it you will suffer more then if you were never rich. Things getting taken from you is different then trying to earn them.

I cannot choose because this is an unrealistic event which will never happen.
