HI folks,

Actually, I've got this problem before. Everytime, when I got a new cellphone and transfered my SIM, I lost some contact numbers saved in the old cellphone.

I think probably I didn't save them in the SIM card. How do you guys solve this problem, when you transfer your SIM card? I called the fido cusmtom service, they just told me you have to use a fido handset, otherwise, you will lost some phonebook information. I doubt it. I'm using a unlocked phone. Thanks!

i use a app like http://www.mobiledit.com/
that lets me transfer to and from PC to cell. There is a free version on the internet but I can't rember the name. I purchased $5 USB data cable from a Hofo member about two years ago. It also is useful for transfering pics, ringtones and well as the phone numbers and lets you edit then upload them too.

edit:
here is the free one I used sucessfully with my old SE.
http://fma.sourceforge.net/
It is a bit harder to use, and may not be for every phone but free is good.

This is a No Brainer. You can read the owners manual that came with your phone (doesnt have to be a fido phone), and in there, it will teach you how to store your contacts to either phone memory or sim memory. Yup you guessed it,. SIM Memory is your SIM Card.
