I need advice in 3-in-1 printers. Are they any good? I need a new printer and I was checking Best Buy, Future Shop, and Staples flyers this week. They're getting so much cheaper now ~ from $60-$150. I'm hoping to buy around that range. I don't need a fancy printer with all the bells and whistles. So long it prints nicely. What are the advantages and disadvantages??

TIA :)

They do everything, but none of them well.

But, if you insist on buying one, make sure you get one that is laser and not ink. the price of ink will kill you.

Do you need the scanner function? Very few people use scanners these days. If you want a printer for black and white, then get laser. If you need colour and black and white, then Canon IMO has the best inkjets.

Actually, I'm more interested in the "Copier/Fax/Printer" printer types.
