View Full Version : good 14" notebook

I got a 17" widescreen but apparently it was too big for my dad (at work).
He wanted something smaller, 14", so what do you guys recommend?
Was considering Dell but their battery issue has me wondering, also, it doesn't necessarily have to be a Hell.

a price range and typical usage would do wonders for this thread.

What's the budget? I'm assuming he doesn't game?
Take a look at the Dell Latitude D620 (http://www1.ca.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/latit_d620?c=ca&cs=CABSDT1&l=en&s=bsd). Price is higher but it's a better quality business laptop and the price includes a 3-year next business day warranty.
The HP dv2000 and Compaq v3000 14" consumer notebooks available at Futureshop and Best Buy are nice looking and seem to have decent build quality.
