Was looking for a good deal on this mouse and I found one today.
DirectCanada.com has it for 63.98 and FS has it for 139.99

DirectCanada: link (http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=12660ID2154)
FS: link (http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10066930&catid=14265)

My total came to $64.29 after PM+tax
Really should have been $0.02 less but I'm not picky

The downside to this is that FS only has the silver/green model and not the black/carbon one. But I took a look in-store and really its not nearly as green looking as in the picture and I don't mind it, especially for the price. Its noticably lighter than my MX700 but I'm still quite happy with the purchase.

I am not sure why would someone wanna spend $50+ for a mouse. Does the differene between a decent mouse and a top mouse worth $30+?

I guess is different if you are enthusiaist like ferrari owner :)

I have this mouse. I bought it almost 6 months ago for a birthday present. It's a great mouse, although I’m not sure how much I use the resolution adjustment, it is still useful to have.

My mouse broke a month ago, and Logitech sent me a brand new one, and didn’t even ask for the old one back. The reason I’m saying this is because the new one they sent me is the newer one that Direct Canada is selling that has a textured rubber grip and a blue colour scheme. Personally I like this version allot better than the one that you will find at any big box store, witch is the green one (that FS has). If you have the option I would go with the more expensive one just to get the rubberized grip.

Here is a picture of the new one:

After reading that, I can picture a few unscrupulous RFD'ers calling Logitech to get the newer mouse.

Its been pretty well known that logitech's rma policy is excellent and they usually just mail you out stuff without asking for anything in return. Luckily I've never had anything go bad, and I'm not going to abuse their service.

If the rubber grip on the newer G7 is like the one on that G5, I didn't really like the feel of it very much but its just a matter of personal taste.

I had to call Logitech for support once, and indeed, their service was great. As for this mouse, I'd rather wait for a good price when a big sale comes along or something. I'm not sure if PMing a regular price'll get you the best deal.

Its actually on sale at DirectCanada, cheaper than anywhere else I've seen. Plus the PM and its a good price for this mouse. Considering regular price at the big box stores is $140, the chances of getting a better price from them are very slim.

I'm surprised FS didn't reject the PM because they mouse are of diff colours, you know, they will try to reject a PM with whatever BS they can come up with.

The CSR that did it didn't look very closely. And you can't really tell what colour it is from that page unless you really look for it. Was one of my easier PM's, thats for sure.

I got the PM as well but they insisted on shipping costs. Duno how you got away with not paying that. No matter which till i went to they insisted on the shipping costs.
