FTA is all down except for viewsat so dont by a unit now wait a lil

on the Contrary....now is the time to buy as the uneducated are dumping their units not anticipating a fix. Viewsat getting the fix helped thte situation abit, but I still say now is the time to buy either a Coolsat or Viewsat.

Let me guess...the person who you bought it from said it right? They bought a lot of stock when this was popular, and since July when it went down, they've been trying to get rid of their stock...so they're desperate to sell. MAybe they told you that just to sell some stock. Maybe, I don't know..but I hope it comes back on soon.

Tv aint canceld hehe there is way too much money to be made in this industry. DUn worry dark ull get ur precious Tv back hehe why not try testing plastic? more up time and u can have backup if anything peeps choose fta for the simplicity but its beginning to get more and more sophisticated ie cards and card readers and card servers. Its all a waiting game if u ask me :D

I was using an Atmega card with Dish Network and that is down right now. I see there are selling bell expressview receivers in the flea markets for $ 130.00 is that working right now ? Can I just buy it and see channels immediately ?

Just the IRDs? If so, you can pick those from RFD- BST for like $40-50 bucks. Its the ROM card thats worth more or go with Viewsat.

This crap is exactly why I continue toi pay for my TV. Sure, getting FTA for 300-400 flat with no monthy payments *sounds* great, until it is broken and then offline for 1-2 weeks or even longer. I don't have the time or patience to put up with that kind of nonsense, and my SO *WOULD KILL ME* - not worth saving 50 bucks a month IMO.

Actually they are still working on it. They just don't want to pay someone else for a quick fix.
