My sister is moving down to San Diego so her and I are driving down there next week around the 23rd and I am flying back around the 4th. I was wondering if what neat things there are to see along the way. I beleive my sister has already got the trip planned a little, we will be going to the grand canyon, yellowstone park, san fransisco. But anything else along the way? As I don't know the states that well so any pointers would be good.
Thanks

If you are going down the 101 from San Fran - spend lots of time there by the way.....visit Palo Alto/Stanford University and San Jose. You'll also be passing through LA - so Disneyland etc??

I'm fairly sure the grand canyon, yellow stone and san fran are not in any direct route.
I think 2 of the 3 make a reasonable trip. Yellow stone to either grand canyon or san fran, or grand canyon to san fran. To do all three would reuire alot of north/south back tracking.
Perhaps you could do yellow stone then head south to the canyon to sand diego, then drive to to san fran and fly home from there, but its quite a drive, its a nice drive but I wouldn't want to do it return in a single day.
I'd do yellowstone then head west to the coast, head dow nthe coast to san fran then to san diego. Much better then the desert driving.
