Cheap flight to montreal?

Just curious if a cheap one-way ticket to montreal actually....exists?

I've been looking online and with tax it looks like I'm going to need to shell out $260 with taxes for a one way from Pearson to Montreal.

Does flying standby still exist?

I'm a broke student.

why must you fly into montreal? Their airport isn't close to downtown and taking a train is much cheaper and probably takes the same amount of time if you factor transportation to pearson from montreal's airport to downtown.

Theres also plenty of rides where you can chip in around $60 and get to montreal in 5 hours.
