Need a reasonable priced hotel in New York October 27 & 28.
I am landing at JFK airport and will leave for a Panama cruise on October 29th.
The ship will leave from Central Manhattan.
Where is the best area to stay for us so we could do some site seeing?
Where to book the Hotel for a fair price?
Any help welcome.
Thanks

From opinions I've heard stay away from the Howard Johnson and Days Inn. The Holiday Inns are supposed to be decent.
I guess it comes down to what you're willing to pay.

Not sure how much you are willing to pay, but NY is so pricey for accommodations. If you're in New Jersey staying close to the path line, you can get to NY very quickly by train.
If you're set for staying in New York, I would try Priceline, or check out prices for hotels in the business district since you're staying on the weekend. Try checking the prices for the Hilton across from Ground Zero.
Happy cruising!
