need help...! airfare japan -> hk

I'm on a tight schedule and cannot add any more destinations.
I'm planning to buy a seperate return airfare from osaka japan -> hong kong
and will be in hong kong from august 25th - 29th.

Where can i find the rates because the rates i'm getting from travel agencies are expensive because i was told they don't show those rates because japan/hk wants to protect their own airflight market.

is there any other way i can find out fares? i'm planning to go to japan and buying my return ticket there.

if you havent bought your ticket yet what you can do is go cathay.

They have a stop over option but it stops on HK first.

e.g.

Toronto -> HK
You stay in HK or continue to Japan right away
on the way back you stop at HK stay as long as you want or continue home.

Son incase you would be doing this
Toronto -->HK ----> Japan

Japan --->>HK stay ---->Toronto.

Inquire with a chinese travel agent or GAP adventures. They would know best.
