Are there any other ways that I can gain further work experience next summer? There are hardly any part-time office jobs available and its really tough to get into any company as a student. Any suggestions?

Well, basically you just try....as college student you should be able to get some repectful job. And it usually gets better each summer....so, just keep trying. And I don't think it's THAT hard anyway.

You could try Workopolis for internships. It's not necessary for the school to designate a summer as a work term. You can search for a job yourself. It may be a little tougher but it's possible.

Hello,
My program offers only a U]one[/U] 4 month co-op term in College which I'm completing right now and almost done. I feel that 4 months is not enough.

Are there any other ways that I can gain further work experience next summer? There are hardly any part-time office jobs available and its really tough to get into any company as a student. Any suggestions?

Your one co-op term, if it provided you with a job in your chosen field, should be the jumping point that you need to get into your field.

Consider the difficulty that other students have - those without co-op programs - when trying to get their first job in their chosen fields.

If you're just concerned about a job for next summer, don't be. Just look for a summer/part-time/temp job as early as possible... January.
