Hi,
I was looking into Punta Cana myself yesterday. From the tripadvisor.com website it looks as if the Iberostars are amazing. I use that site for checking all hotels - you always get a few bad reviews for even the best places, but generally they are very accurate.

stay away from breezes.
not a 4 star place.
got back in june with 50 people group
and was not a great place In My Opinion.

First and only time going to a resort so I got nothing to compare it to... but it was nice.

just booked mine at the melia caribe tropical...supposed be 4-5 stars but will let you know when i get back

Stayed at the Bavaro resort, the beach one to be exact. I wouldn't go back as there isn't much of a nightlife or activities to do outside of the resort. The beach is marvelous though and is almost worth a trip back.

I was there the first week of July, great place.

Actually this was my second time visiting Bahia in Punta Cana

We went in fall of 2004 and stayed at the Grand Palladium Palace...it's part of the Fiesta chains from Spain. Best part about it, was we were right on the beach in two level room, plus you get access to all the other restaurants on the resort (there are three total).

Booked with Air Transat...would go again, but the Air Transat flight felt like I was a sardine...

I was there the first week of July, great place.

Actually this was my second time visiting Bahia in Punta Cana

I went there last November. Awesome resort. Great service, great food, and lots to do.

stay away from breezes.

got back in june with 50 people group
and was not a great place In My Opinion.

well ive been to the one in peurto plata...and enjoyed the stay... heard some good things aobut the punta cana one from people there.

i can tell that puerto plate is 10 times better
i have been to punta cana breezes and the puerto plata breezes
and plata has more things to do in the city , and much better overall.
this is why i said RIGHT away STAY away from PUNTA CANA BREEZES
(punta cana beaches are the best though)

well ive been to the one in peurto plata...and enjoyed the stay... heard some good things aobut the punta cana one from people there.

going to punta cana bahia principe on saturday
been to puerto plata bahia sanjuan and its nice but beach is not white
also been to ocean bavarro in punta cana and resort is ok
but bahia is better food wise

Check out http://www.debbiesdominicantravel.com/. That site has tons of reviews from users who have traveled to DR. There's also a forum if you have any further questions. My girlfriend and I went there a few years ago and that site was very useful for not only finding a place to stay, but also for traveller tips/things to do/etc.
