Hey guys,

My friend and I have ran into a problem. We were suppose to go to Buffalo this Saturday for shopping but we can't take her car anymore due to family. I was wondering if anyone knew any cheap fast ways to get to Buffalo from Toronto. We really want to hit up Walden Galleria and Prime Outlets near Niagara. She's not comfortable driving any other car but her own (so renting cars is out of the problem).

Does anyone know any tours that bring us there and let us shop there for the day? Or cheap trains or buses routes?

Thanks a bunch :cheesygri

There is a daily train that runs to NYC from Toronto at 7am and 1 daily return train around 7 pm. It can take you to Buffalo Exchange St station. Its called Maple Leaf service.

It takes a long time to cross the border on a train though. Perhaps check the greyhound website?

Theres busses to the casino for $7 (round trip must be 19+) so I suppose you guys could split a cab into Buffalo. Crossing the border in a cab is not a big deal btw.

One question: Where can I get info on these casino buses? (online preferably) :cheesygri

So why not have the family member drive the rental while your friend continues to drive her own car?

Any other option other than driving a car is more hassle and time consuming than it's worth.

The problem is that her family won't let her take the car. It's only me and her that's going -- nobody else -- and we both don't have access to a car anymore.

driving , i found this route on maps.google.com

map here (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=Toronto,+Ontario&daddr=Buffalo,+NY&ie=UTF8&ll=43.082931,-78.11554&spn=1.598757,4.199524&om=1)

It says total 167 km's , looks like the most shortest route. Also it says, 2 hour and 26 mins, is this realistic? What time of day is best to drive there, I want to do some shopping as well.

also how much is the tax there? I hear certain parts of new jersey they have no tax?

He wants to go to the Prime Outlets and the Walden Galleria so it's faster to take the Queenston/Lewiston bridge. You take the 190 south to the Packard Rd. exit and it's right there. Then to get to the Walden Galleria, you take the 190 south to the 290 east to the 90 west and take the Walden Ave. exit. It's going to be hard to get from Prime Outlets to the Walden Galleria without a car. It takes almost a half hour of highway driving to get from Prime Outlets to the Walden Galleria.

google safeway tours niagara, I think its $10 actually. You have to give some deposit but as long as you catch a bus within 24 hours they give it back to you.

Pennsylvania and New Jersey have no sales tax on clothes period.

Just went to grove city, PA yesterday.

Some pretty awesome deals.

There is tax on perfumes and electronics. Maybe other things as well.
