internet explorer wont let me download

HI

My internet explorer would not let me download anything. I tried to download a program for my POS systerm (cash register) and it just went directly to the download status box and just stuck there with no progress on the download status bar and no info showing on the download destination or time left on the download. After about 10 min, it popped out a message box saying internet explorer cant download cause the site is not available or not connected.
But when i tried to download at home, i got no problem wiht it.
So i think there is a problem with my pc at work.

and when i tried to download something, it wont show the box where it will ask you if u wanna save, open, cancel and more info. It just went directly to downloading box as i mentioned above.

Are you talking about 2 seperate PCs, 1 at home and 1 at work? Or are you talking about a laptop that travels back and forth with you to work and home?

The best way to avoid issues with Internet Explorer is to not use it. :) Try using firefox (http://www.getfirefox.com)

You could try googling the exact error message there is probably a fix out there for this error.
