Ok, this kind of freaked me out. I got bored so I decided I'd test some old-ass laptop memory modules I had lying around, one of which was in a dead laptop.

I opened an old Satelite 4060XCDT (The dead one) and I thought, 'How the hell did a screw get it in there...". Went to pick it up and realised it was a dead bug.

So I opened the other laptop and found a dead bug of the same type....

I need to call a ****ing exterminator....

Maybe that's why the laptop is dead.

One doesn't even light up when you plug it in. The other doesn't smell when you turn it on.

I remember reading a long time ago that the origin of the term "bug" came from when vacuum tubes would attract moths (or something to that effect) and the moth would cause a failure.

Yeah, the ENIAC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eniac) attracted a lot of bugs because of its size and tremendous heat output. :-0
