i'm getting so angry! i need to talk to fido because i can't seem to access my account online anymore. what do they have 1 person answering calls?

1.5 hrs. is absurd. i feel like canceling my phone and taking my buisness elsewhere.

Are they even open Sunday?

Do it!

You can get off contracts too - they changed a few things on their agreement.

Fido has been the biggest POS so far and I've only been with them for 5 or 6 months. Never had any issues like this when I was on Rogers for a good 5 years.

Well it is a Sunday and if they are even open today they probably have minimal staff.

I was once on hold for the Rogers Billing Department for 40+ minutes...i just hung up and called the next day......

I think the reason I was on hold for so long was because I called the day after long weekend and a lot of people mustve been calling to complain about something/perhaps bill...

Hey, give me a break (I'm new to this :) )... I just have to laugh at the number of people who have worked for Rogers over the years....But, 1.5 hours in a queue is way too long to wait. I'd suggest calling on a week day.

And since Rogers seems to own everything these days, there's most likely an IVR for all centres now.

I don't work in telecom, nor do I know what IVR is, but seeing that Rogers OWNS FIdo, wouldn't they have IVR too?

Well your friend certainly can't be all there if he has 3 hours to spare, while on hold on a phone call.

Dude, if they dont pick up after 1.5 hours, then after 2.5, what makes you think they'll pick up at 3.5?

Can't you just call tomorrow and do something better with your Sunday afternoon?

i've done a lot of other things, my phone has a speaker so i don't need to hold the phone to my ears. i made some food, took a shower and cleaned my room.

:D

an i'm not calling back monday, i shouldn't have to.

Can't you just accept the fact theat they're not going to pick up? Are you even sure they're available on Sundays, because most CS offices aren't.

not after waiting this long, i'm past the point of no return.

if you call and there not open you get a message stating that they are closed.

Well usually, I limit my holding times to 45 minutes. After that I usually call the next day.

Don't feel bad, my Telus landline service was cut accidentally. I had to use my internet phone via Cable internet to call the Telus hotline. It took them 2 hours to pickup the phone and they couldn't verify my information because I didn't call from my home phone number. Ended up talking to them for another hour with a supervisor.

Keep asking to talk to a superior. My friend had issues with his telephone losing reception in areas where other Telus phone users had full signal strength. He went as high as the VP Operations and while talking to him the phone went dead AGAIN. He got a free phone and six month refund of his cell phone bills.

Also, if it continues without resolution, call the Silverman guy on CityTV and have him do a story on the issues you've been having.

G'luck!

doesn't fido have the callback system like Bell? There's a recording that tells you of the estimated wait time, and then u enter ur name and phone #, and u get called back instead of staying on hold
