Yah these days girls are wearing less and less clothing, then you wonder why the rape charges keep increasing over the years....

So you're implying that there's a higher chance of being raped in the summer, than in the winter time?

In that case, when there's extreme heat alerts, maybe they should also announce 'extreme rape alerts.'

Thats great news :cheesygri Now we can all cool down for a few days before the next heat wave hits. Don't forget to turn off your air conditioner for a few days because you won't be needing it (in Vancouver)

When you're talking about degrees, usually there's the little degree sign that looks like a little donut, on top of the number, like this ---> 36°

cue Bananarama - Cruel Summer

Hot summer streets and the pavements are burning
I sit around
Trying to smile but the air is so heavy and dry
strange voices are saying (ah what did they say)
Things I can't understand
It's too close to comfort this heat has got right out of hand

it's a cruel, cruel summer
leaving me, leaving me here on my own
it's a cruel, cruel summer
now you're gone
you're not the only one

it's a cruel, cruel summer
leaving me, leaving me here on my own
it's a cruel, cruel summer
now you're gone
you're not the only one

The city is crowded, my friends are away and I'm on my own
it's too hot to handle, so I gotta get up and go

it's a cruel, cruel summer
leaving me, leaving me here on my own
it's a cruel, cruel summer
now you're gone
you're not the only one

it's a cruel, cruel summer
leaving me, leaving me here on my own
it's a cruel, cruel summer
now you're gone
you're not the only one

cruel summer
it's a cruel summer
cruel summer

it's a cruel, cruel summer
leaving me, leaving me here on my own

now you're gone

Really doesn't bother me the heat , I have A/C at home , in my car and at my workplace. The most i'll be outside for is maybe 1 min when i walk from my car to my work , not to mention it has underground parking so the car never gets baked on either.

But i just got back from a 30 min walk i'm drenched in sweat.

I agree. When I lived in texas, we'd have 95 degree farenheight (about 33 celsisus?) days, which was hot, but it's dry heat, so it doesn't feel as bad.

Yep najibs. We learned very quickly after moving into a house with both a pool and AC that if we run the AC the kids don't use the pool. I can't just shut down the pool because the AC is on so we really don't use the AC. Even though our house is a 2 storey it doesn't get that hot because we put all new, top of the line windows in and a new roof with a ridge vent last year. And the best reason of all not to use the AC.... Summer is too damn short to not enjoy! :cheesygri

with our first full season with a pool, we have used our a/c a fraction of the amount we did last year. thru july, we had the a/c on only a handful of times. it's amazing how refreshing a dip in the pool is around 8pm. . .puts you at the right temp for sleeping, and a/c is just overkill at that point.

you have to be kidding! even if i take a cold shower before I go to sleep, there's just so much humidity in the house that A/C is essential or we'll all just heat up again...

Boxer briefs. A great compromise!

I was only outside for about 20 seconds today. House door to the car, car door to work, work to car door, and car to house. But that was enough! You could light a cigarette just from holding it up in the air today.
