Hopefully my friend's older brother wont be on a video like that. He ships out next Friday. Just got back from a party for him.
Happy to see somebody take the time to do that.

You do know that the soldiers who are there believe in the cause and want to be there?
You have your opinion and that's fine, but don't act like it's in their best interests to refuse to go. They believe in the cause and are willing to fight for it, or they wouldn't be there in the first place.

of course, being soldiers, they have been brainwashed to follow orders...and they will "believe in their cause" because of the lies told to them...
canadian military mission is afghanistan is unnecessary and an excercise in futility because they are dreaming of doing what american forces have failed to do..n

People join the military because they BELIEVE in what it stands for.
These are honourable men and woman that have a desire to serve their country.
I have the HIGHEST respect for our troops.
I think they are helping Afghanistan - Karzai has said so.
We CANADIANS can succeed where other fail because we know how to compromise.
We know how to find a multilateral solution.
Keep up the great work.
Someone said once - We all die. What matters is whether your death meant something. Did you die with honour?
Unlike some people that decide to live in mom's basement playing xbox games smoking reefer and complaining about the world around them but withno courage or conviction to do anything about it,
Brainwashing? how do they get brainwashed?
They undergo training to be effective soldiers - but brainwashing?
Please explain

Thanks Urban. May they RIP. :(
I was trying to locate a powerpoint presentation that was done for the 4 fallen RCMP Officers in Alberta but couldn't find it. I thought yourself and Shaner would like to see it, it also was very touching. The funeral was just a parade of a sea of red uniforms, it was a very sad day for everyone in Canada.

With comments like that you not only disrespect today's soldiers, but you disrespect the memory of those who fought over 50 years ago for what we have today...
It used to piss me off when people made inflamitory comments knowing damn well what they were posting was just to 'rattle the cage' of other people. Now I just shake my head and move on.....

imagine if Afghanistan becomes a country as rich as canada with a high quality of life.
They will thank us in history books "With the help of Canadians Afghanistan was able to build a stable economy and now boast one of the best qualities of life in the middle east"

I hope so too, but Afghanistan is not in the middle east.
