I'm gonna purchase a lcd off this guy, would you guys help me determine if he's a BS scammer or not?

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=ifree_1969&item=140005964393&iid=140005964393&frm=1883&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:SID

He's recently got 1 negative feedback, I think it was positive then changed to negative.
I email/pm him, I try and ask questions......well they might sound dumb. BUT buyer beware......like, How old has this lcd been in use....or are there any blemishes on the screen, and I won't get an answer to that.

I emailed him reguarding what's going on and why isn't he replying.
I got an message saying.

"I received your first initial payment of $100. Thank you.

Once I receieve the balance I will gladly send you your item.

Best regards."

Also check out the "feedback left for others"...........It's like he purchased 10 things each day when he did and with all the same messages.

Am I just freaking out about buying off the internet?

His e-mail back sounds sketchy but if he is a "BS scammer" I would be interested to learn how he got 612 positive feedback ratings.

It's probabley OK but with eBay you can never be sure, especially with something like an LCD...

well............I guess he's legit. I think he just finds me ********.

He should be legit heres some proof........psychologically.

Seller lists this lcd is "made by sharp"

Buyer asks "could you by any chance tell me whether the part number for the panel ends in w02 or w12 please?"

He gives an actual model #, .....he doesn't just say, "UMMM it's a w12"
He says, "LQ154M1LW02"

the seller is legit, but it doesn't mean he's a good seller. there's a difference between a scammer and a good seller. A scammer generally takes your money and runs, while this seller might just not completely describe items acurately or may wonder from the truth with deceptive ads. sort of like MDG.

Try contacting the buyers who have left the seller the negatives. This is what I usually do to get their side of the story. =)

If all else fails, just buy the lcd at a retail store rather than online. You might get hit with customs and s&h so you may just break even. lol

on top of all that he is not selling anything right now, did you already buy the lcd?

The last item he put up for sale was 10 days ago:

OHHHH nvm this is the guy you are paying in parts (there was a post about this: http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=311180 ), that isn't done already?

If I was in the guy's place, having a 0 feedback buyer who has only paid me part of the money, I would be a bit edgy too. Pay him so he can ship it already. That said interesting item to buy on eBay!

Maybe he's an RFD'er and he's jumped to conclusions from some of the questions you ask on here :|

If you don't feel comfortable, don't take the risk. Period.

just pay with paypal using your credit card. then if you get a bag of stones in the mail, just call your credit card company for a charge back.

Sounds easier than it is.

It is a lot easier then that. Just open a dispute with the seller on paypal. I've had to do this before to get the sellers attention. I emailed every day for a week and no replies, I open dispute, his paypal got put on suspention until I cleared the dispute. Thus, he contacted me asap as his paypal was out of service. If he had left it for 15 days I believe it is, paypal would refund my money and charge his credit card. I LOVE paypal for this.

he's looks legit. the last feedback left for him was from a newb with zero feedback. iv had that happen to me once... new people expect to recieve their packages in 2 days.. they dont understand the postal system. as for the condition. he can say its in excellent condition.. but to him that could mean anything. youre taking a chance by buying a tv over ebay. iv done that before but i had no problem.. and not answering your question probably means he's used it quite a bit but doesnt want to answer that.. who knows.. if you like it, then buy it.. but next time, you should realy decide before you buy the item. i didnt see a link to the actual item or the item number so i cant see the listing to say anything about this guy.
