Omg i have to state my longing frustration with Canada Post's service. For too long have they pissed me off with their late, unexcusable delivery. For god sakes I can regularly recieve mail and packages from England, Middle East and Asia within a week. But ****, when I pay for expresspost within the GTA its takes them 3 days to deliver. Omg, Its god dam expresspost not slowasspost. For god sakes if I send it regularly it'll properly take longer. They should do something concerning this slow ass "Public Service." Cause quiet frankly its a piece of what the French call "****"

never really had a problem with Canada Post. I like them.
Oh.. .they did once send me a crushed packaged saying it was received that way... but nothing broken so didn't mind it too much

You should be lucky that it got to where it was going at all... they've been known to lose things over the years... including one person's ashes who were being mailed across the country because it was the easiest (and cheapest) option for his family. I think this is still in the courts...

I've always had a positive experience with them....except this one time where I bought a pair of shoes from an online shoe forum, and when it came, the stupid mailman just left the shoes in the doorstep...and you could clearly tell the package contained shoes in it, and where I'm from anyone who would have seen it would have just taken it.

That's nothing. There was a story on the news a while back that they left a box containing firearms on someone's porch in Oshawa when he wasn't home, and the package ended up being stolen...way to go Canada Post!

Somehow, I don't think Canada Post would be happy to use that slogan in their ads.
Sorry for your hardships with them, though...
I've generally had good luck with them.

i'm actually more concerned that you can purchase firearms online (they were reported bought online).

Canada post is sometimes alright while other times really odd/bad, like I have received packages sent a week apart from the same place on the same day. Also the delivery guys never ring my buzzer they just leave a note and I have to pickup the package the next day every single time, even when the buzzer code is on the package sometimes with special instructions to please notify during delivery.

Yeah CanadaPost is kinda weird sometimes. One of my regular parcel shipments arrived to its destination sooner than an XpressPost one. Go figure.

i've had good luck with them, usually my letters are received on or before the day it's suppose to
but a recent event pissed me off
my gf is currently not in town, and it's been a long time since i've seen her, we've been communicating through email and the occasional letter. her bday is coming up, so i spent a few hours making smthing nice for her, since that's what asian girls like, cute little "it's the thoughts that counts" stuff, i mail it, and guess what, it goes missing, it's just like any other letter, envelope and paper inside, nothing illegal, they just HAD to loose this particular one, isn't that great

I've recently sent out a package too, dropped it in those mail slots. Now, they can't seem to find it and have no information about it.
that's the last time I dropped stuff in those street boxes. THe buyer is still waiting for that too.
btw, most people know this but their tracking system sucks.

Better and cheaper than UPS, FedEx, DHL and the like.

yeah i checked my tracking number online and it still stated electronic information has been recieved for the past 3 days now. Say what you want about this service, it still sucks since it's public.

You ever wonder why it's cheaper? hint: They're not a courier, in fact they sort packages in the same facilities they sort mail and I've heard many, many stories. I've had no problems but my friends have and so many other people. If they actually ran their service like a real courier than they wouldn't be so bad but the way they handle packages and deliver service, it's a wonder they're still in business.

Dam it just privatize it and thats it. Public businesses stink, take our healthcare for instance. Still waiting for a dam appointment I made a month ago. And oh yeah make sure close to dying when visiting a hospital or prepare to wait a long long long time.

Our healthcare and other public services are far from perfect, but privitization is not the solution. It would probably make aspects of the system more efficient, but the goal to rake in profits and cut losses will probably screw a lot more people in the long run.

i'm actually more concerned that you can purchase firearms online (they were reported bought online).
You sir, are ********. Do you actually think there are websites you can go and just put in your CC and have guns delivered? Hahahahaha. That's not what they mean buy "bought online".
Most transfers are PRIVATE TRADES or PRIVATE SALES made through online forums or gun clubs (ie: hxxp://www.canadiangunnutz.com). Before the weapons are transferred, a form is submitted to the Canadian Firearms Center/RCMP and a transfer of registration is requested (15$ charge). You must have valid FAC to complete the transfer, just as if you went into a retail gun store. A temporary ATT (Authorization To Transport) is issued. The gun is mailed and delivered, usually without problems.
I buy guns from various sources all the time and I always use Canada Post to have them delivered (I'm rural). The packages are clearly marked FIREARMS, clearly say DO NOT SAFEDROP, and clearly say SIGNATURE ON DELIVERY. Obviously in that case the delivery guy messed up. Canada Post has always taken good care of my guns.
What do you want us to drive our guns halfway accross the country to sell them? Requesting any kind of ATT from the CFC to bring your guns anywhere other than to and from the range is a hastle. I'm glad Canada Post does what it does.
As far as anything not firearms related, I recently had a package from BC to Ontario take 12 days with Xpresspost. How ridiculous is that? I'm gonna try filing a claim.

You sir, are ********.
1) I'm the ****** - not wetsnot
2) Guns are still being sent across this country (in the case being referred to above it was from USAlberta to Ontario) using a method that has proven to be insecure.
Just another example of Canada's lax gun laws.
(ie: hxxp://www.canadiangunnutz.com)
Well they don't mince words - do they?

I had:
One Christmas card that travelled from Vancouver to Taiwan within 48 hours of my time with merely a regular international stamp. (What happened to that 7 ~ 10 days regular delivery time?)
One XpressPost that took 7 days to reach the destination. After getting delivered to the wrong address once.
Too many "regular" mails that arrives way faster than expected. Although, I have to say, other than the incident mentioned above, all XpressPost arrived on time.
Three stolen boxes... hmm...

Sometimes XpressPost arrives faster than normal mail because it has to go through a longer process for tracking, insurance, etc.
Most of my experiances from CanadaPost have been good but I find that they greatly overcharge when compared to similar services in the USA. Also they NEVER ring your doorbell. :(

The only complaint I constantly have with CP is they never seem to update their tracking database properly. So many times I've sent stuff to the US using expedited parcel, and the tracking number doesn't exist in their system even after the person recieves the package!
Makes it look like you never shipped the package since when the buyer checks the tracking number, it keeps stating it doesn't exist.

Expresspost is guaranteed to arrive in a certain amount of days. Just look it up on the shipping calculator to determine how many days it is supposed to take. If it takes longer, put in a claim and get your money back. They will refund the shipping cost by cheque.
I usually hope it is a day or two late.

Don't you guys know that Canada Post's Tracking tool is a mere random event generator and is a good 48 hour timezone behind ours in the East?
Seriously, if you really need to track something sensitive...FEDEX & UPS are the way to go.
Canada Post is ONLY starting to develop more advanced tracking tools....as we speeak..

How is that Canada Posts fault if someone from US is coming to you and made it to the border 6 days later? Ugh...
US Post sucks even more balls. Lost so many of my expressposts. They probaly think everything has anthrax and/or bomb in it and rape ur package and letters.
