So I'm just throwing this out to your money savy people there/people who have gone through OSAP.

I just got my estimate from OSAP (after doing the online application, it's not the official amount), and I'm wondering if the estimates are usually correct? Do they usually give you the amount that was estimated online, give more or even give less? This doesn't include the grants that I know of though. Any information would be great since this is my first time applying with OSAP and I'm moving down to WLU in Sept.

My estimates are usually around the same as what I actually get. Unfortunately, this year it just happened to be $0.

Did he live close to his Uni/College?

I'm from Toronto, and I'm going down to Laurier in Waterloo, so I think that also accounts for something.

i went to WLU too and i'm from scarborough

i found that aslong as all the information i submitted was correct, they'll usually give me pretty close to the amount they estimated (pending you maintain your full-time status in school)

of course from year to year that amount doesn't' include the bursaries or like the millenium scholarships, sometimes they do, but a lot of that is academic related
