So work is fun and I usually catch an episode or two during the dreary day. I've watched the following recently:

Monk
CSI (all of them)
The Lost (1 & 2)
Initial D - 4th
Top Gear
Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmare

What else is good to watch that's not reality show?

I understand CBC has started running "Hustle", a British show about con men.

Of course, there are only 6 episodes per series (season) so they may have finished the run out here already.

If you can catch it, it's well worth it. Think "Ocean's Eleven" meets "The Sting". Very fun. I've seen all 3 series so far and I'm waiting very anxiously for the fourth.

I think CSI really sucks...Law and Order (any of them) are more my style. CSI just seems too polished.

I have heard smallville is good and am starting on season one soon.

For those who haven't seen prison break, now's the time!

i really liked the short lived series of "heist", but they took that off the air after 5 episodes...

Another vote for Scrubs! I can't believe I missed out on this show for 5 seasons.

I watched all five seasons in the span of a month and a half. Its great comedy.

Also some other suggestions:

- House
- Desperate Housewives


I just started watching Arrested Development, and after one episode, it seems pretty decent so far. Will most likely watch the rest.

Tried Entourage... not my cup of tea. Hustle is good. Scrubs is more my pace... going through that now... going to try Prison Break and Arrested Development later.

IMHO House is the best show on t.v. right now. I also still enjoy episodes from the earlier seasons of the X-Files.

Top Gear has got to be the greatest car show I've ever seen. I watched it every week when I was in Europe. It's too bad I can't find it on local cable, but I still have my fingers crossed that BBC World may start carrying it.

Rome or Nip/Tuck are both very good. Also if you're into something that will end fairly quickly, give Sleeper Cell a chance!
