its an alright cd...make sure to "get" the bonus cd, Pharrell remixes a lot of songs on it.
in my opinion the NERD albums were the best (In search of, and fly or die)

It comes with the album or it is seperate?
I agree NERD was excellent. It's just not the same without Chad but I am not complainin' :).

i think the album missed the boat coming out now instead of last fall, they've already burned off 2 radio songs in "can i have it like that" and "angel"
he's only got 2 or 3 songs left that could make the radio waves (all happen to feature big names, jay-z snoop and kanye)
it's alright, i'd much rather him stick to producing and him being featured instead of being the main

Pharrell was on I Just Wanna Luv U by Jay-Z way before Drop it like it's hot. The Neptunes produced it.
I'm looking forward to hearing this album.

I'm looking forward to hearing this album. he produced and was in PASS THE COURVOISIER with busta rhymes and before that did a lot of a number of songs with Capone-n-Noreaga
heck he produced so much songs that were hits back in the day and i am still finding out he produced them

he even goes way back in the early 90's
did u know he help produced "rump shaker" by wrekx in effect?
even the swv human nature remix of "right here" he produced?
try to pick out his voice in that song.
i think pharrell is better off making beats as well.

...make sure to "get" the bonus cd, Pharrell remixes a lot of songs on it. in my opinion the NERD albums were the best (In search of, and fly or die)...Where is the bonus CD & where can you get it?
This album was supposed to be 1/2 Pharrell Rapping & half with him singing? You can count how many songs he raps on with 1 hand. Its definitely more on the R&B tip.
Definitely a contender for R&B Album of the year. IMHO, The best tracks of here are:
9. "Young Girl" (Feat. Jay-Z)/"I Really Like You" (8:14)
2. "How Does It Feel?" (3:55)
7. "That Girl" (Feat. Snoop Dogg) (4:01)
14. "Number One" (Feat. Kanye West) (3:56)
Track #9 "Young Girl" is on some straight up old school Prince ish...the beat is reminiscent of Prince's earlier work, but its not a sample AFAIK. This track has J-Hova Spitting some of his best lyrics we've heard all year:
"...Hov got a young girl, Hov got a young girl, still not quite 21 | So high strung such a vivrant thing, I introduced myself hi Ms. Thing| Your 19.....No your lightning in a bottle i'll buy you a ring tomorrrow| The scene the follows screams of horror, classic Stephen King novel...."
My only complaint w/ this album & Skateboard P is that his lyrics are so 1 dimensional...how many times can you sing about a girl & your possesions. I agree he's a better producer & singer than he is a rapper. NERD's [ISO] is their best work...also sounds better than [F.O.D] mainly becuase they were working with rock group [SpyMOB] who played all the instruments on that album.
dont get it twisted....P & the Neptunes have been banging out tracks since the early 90's and have been in the game over 15yrs & counting. Their 1st breakout hit was Superthug by Nore...Its funny when I hear people say they are new producers.

...Where is the bonus CD & where can you get it? I haven't seen it advertised anywhere. I've seen a mix CD avail @ hiphopsite & thats about it. Is that what you were referring to?

Definitely a contender for R&B Album of the year. Not HipHop that'll go to J-Dilla, Dre(if it ever comes out), Nas or the Game.

pm me so i can send it to u online after work.
i agree about the NERD albums...the first one, was amazing, especially when the re released it with live instruments. they are really under rated when they release an album. they do really well when they go mainstream with these artists.
nerds fly or die had more of a rock genre, where as in search of...was a whole new type of genre, its so different that i cant even categorize their music. i like to just call it "chill" music

I thought it was a big letdown, after the strength of In Search Of. Way too much crooning for my taste (and it seems like the trend continues here).
