This seems to me to be a good deal, given the individual cost to rent at BB. Anyone know if its good on new 360 games, as opposed to only old 'favourites' games?

think of it as this, thats probably like $10 in gas to drive 165 miles, and renting 4 games @ BB is way more than $10. so yeah, i think its worth 165 air miles.

I fail to see the logic in your argument.
Can anyone confirm that the rentals can be used on new 360 games?

You seem to be confusing fuel efficiency with Air Miles Reward Miles. Every $20 of fuel purchased at Shell gets you ONE Air Mile, with ONE more Air Mile for every $10 of fuel purchased after the first 20.
This is a very crude and simple example because you can earn Air Miles with purchases at other places, but let's just consider the example of gas and gas alone.
Let's say you drive a Hummer and spend $100 for fuel in one transaction--you will get you 9 Miles. Occasionally, you may get a few bonus Air Miles here or there. Let's give it an arbitrary number, like 20 Bonus Miles, to be very generous.
165-20=145
145/9=16.1
You need to fuel up over 16 times (for $100 per time) AND get 20 Bonus Air Miles to earn 165 Miles to get 4 free video game rentals. Is it worth it? That's up to you. But it's hardly a case of getting 165 Air Miles off of $10 worth of gas.
OP: Just call Blockbuster, they'll know if you can rent 360 titles with it.

Shell's offer is now 1 mile/$20 spent, assuming you're not taking advantage of any promotions.

IF you are renting games there at full price anyway then yes that is a good deal on a value per airmile basis. Id argue witht the price of games continuing to fall while they have increased the rental price ($8 now?) renting at all from bb not a good deal vs buying.
Airmiles just increased the points required for rona gc, hoping more don't change.

I think that a 360 game is $9.99 to rent for a week...

yes you can rent 360 games, i've been doing it since the airmiles promo started, it's 9.99 for a week rental(but i always keep them closer to two weeks-no late charges) or $11.49 with taxes(oops i guess it's a few cents less now with gst reduction) so figure $46 worth of rentals for 165 airmiles, i think it is just about the best deal they got going right now.

for comparision
175 miles = $20 of shell gas
125 miles = $20 roots certificate

^heh, careful with the typos. it's $20 at roots, not $200 :)
